Kodiaq vRS crackling noise!
Hi All, At the advice of @Roottoot I booked into Victoria Garage (Maud). https://www.victoriagarage-maud.co.uk/ Car was in first thing this morning, and they diagnosed and fixed the rattling noise inside 90 minutes. I asked them to look at the noise that the car was making when it was idling, reversing, moving forward without accelerating. They discovered that the water bottle retaining strap bolt had fallen off, and the retaining strap was vibrating on the bottle and surrounding area. This was the cause of the rattle. New restraining strap and bolt installed, and now no rattle. The noise from the wheels area when the car is turned off, as indicated by @ZacDaMan72 and shown also by @chrisluciofg, seems to be normal for the car..... weird but normal! So warranty work completed, and happy drive home without any annoying rattle! A word on Victoria Garage (Maud), they were brilliant to deal with. Thanks @Roottoot for the recommendation. They were easy to speak with and seemed really trustworthy. Even cleaned the car for me before returning it to me. If there's no Skoda Inverness garage in the foreseeable, I'll be heading there for servicing from now on. Bit of a trek, but no worse than driving to Perth or Aberdeen! Many thanks for all your help and advice. Steve

Kodiaq vRS crackling noise!
Car is booked into Victoria Garage on Thursday of this week - 2 weeks earlier than the Perth garage could even look at it! They were really helpful over email and the phone, so I'm really hoping that they can get to the bottom of this noise. The noise once the engine is off doesn't concern me so much now thanks to the links from @chrisluciofg. I'm more concerned about the noise when the car is moving or idling at low speed. I'll report back once I know any more. Cheers for all your help!

Kodiaq vRS crackling noise!
@ZacDaMan72 Thanks for the confirmation. I've heard the noise afterwards more than a few times, but the noise with the engine on is new. I'll get it to a garage (I've emailed Victoria Garage Maud per @Roottoot suggestion. So I'm hoping that they can diagnose and repair it! Cheers!

Kodiaq vRS crackling noise!
Hi All, My first main post so I was hoping that someone could give me some advice. I have a barely 10 month old Kodiaq vRS with only 4200 miles on the clock, but it has developed this bizarre noise. It occurs when the engine is on, either idling or decelerating (but not necessarily braking). And it sounds very similar to a noise the car makes (which I have assumed was normal) just after it is turned off. Has anybody had any experience of this? I've uploaded two videos of these (don't worry my Wife took the video while we were idling). Our local Inverness Skoda dealer doesn't seem to have any plans on opening again following Covid19, so the earliest booking I can get is 5th August in Perth (110 miles away). I'm hoping the vehicle is roadworthy for the next 2.5 weeks. And want to charge £108/hr to diagnose the issue (unless it's a warranty item - how should I know?). I tried contacting Skoda Customer Care (email - no reply, live chat - no help, telephone - call your local retailer or skoda breakdown!) but they weren't a lot of help. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks. Steve WhatsApp Video 2020-07-20 at 10.20.38 (1).mp4 I have another video to upload but a 3.64Mb limit.

Hello
Hi, I'm a recent buyer of a new Skoda Kodiaq vRS. It looked and drove great so I picked it over a Tarraco. Hopefully that was a good decision!
