I haven't shown mine the LEDs yet... I may never get my choice of colour!! Just potty-training my 2 year old now... trying to work out how long I'll be allowed to keep her out of the new car! 😂

I took my 7 year old daughter down to the dealership at the weekend to sit in the new car - she loved it and is now as excited as I am (if not more so) to pick it up on the 1st! 😀

I've had my current Audi A3 for nearly 9 years now - so definitely looking forward to a change. Going to see my Kodiaq at the dealership on Saturday to sit in it and make "broom broom" noises... then going back in on the 1st to drive it away! Glad to hear you're enjoying your new car, @MillyMcMophead - I was tempted to go for a stock vehicle to take advantage of the finance, but with all the options we'd decided we "needed" (???) - and having waited this long already - we thought we may as well stick with it!

Finally spoke to someone at my dealership who knows what's going on (not the salesman!) - and it turns out my car is arriving with them TODAY! So - I've told them to keep it for another couple of weeks and I'll have it on the 1st with the new Reg! 😀

It is all a bit low-tech, isn't it! I would have thought we should be able to watch a live video feed of it rolling down the production line these days! 🐵

Evening all, Just had an email from my dealer to say nothing has changed - still at status 40. Starting to think it'll never get here!!

Yeah - we were very similar timings, I think - so thanks for that - better start checking down the back of the sofa for the rest of the deposit! It never ceases to amaze me how little salesman seem to know about the products / manufacturing and delivery processes of the things they sell! It's really obvious that the guy I'm dealing with hasn't got a clue what's going on! Hopefully you won't have to wait as long as us... I believe the factories are all still open at the moment!!

Hello! So - the good news is that I've had a further update from my dealer - my Kodiaq is now at Build Stage 40. The bad news is that the salesman claims this is "pretty much the same as stage 38" - which I find a little difficult to believe. Can anyone enlighten me as to what build stage 40 actually is? How excited should I be getting? Thanks! - Chris

Yeah - but as I'm an idiot iPhone user who's too much of a cheapskate to buy a model with massively overpriced storage, and without the ability to add an SD card to the phone, spending £30 on a big SD card for the car seemed like quite a good option! 😁 I'm guessing map updates would be via a USB memory stick? I guess I could do the same for the MP3s? Perhaps the new infotainment has heaps of its own memory I could transfer the music to? Who knows - probably academic anyway as I'm assuming I'll get what I ordered!? (a big assumption, I know)

Thanks GMC92 Looking at that, I'm kind of hoping I don't get the new kit... I have an SD card full of MP3s I was looking forward to having in the car - so unless the new infotainment has some other means of mass MP3 storage, it feels like a step backwards!?

My dealer sent me an update on Monday to let me know the car had been built, and in it he mentioned it was at stage 38.
