    No not yet. My towbar came with a cover that fits into the mechanism when not in use so never got around to it.

    For anyone that stumbles across this thread (like I did)..... I live in Ayrshire and have just had my detachable towbar with dedicated Skoda electrics and reprogramming fitted to my 2017 VRS Estate by 'Lomond Auto Electrics'. £540 all in. With the reprogramming the reverse sensors don't work when trailer is connected and the additional icon comes on the dash to show that you are towing. I have attached some photos. It's perfect. No clunky metal work hanging down when not in use.
