  1. To finish my own topic.....the new screen arrived promptly and I finally got around to fitting it today. Success! All now working perfectly again. Thanks to much to Jonnyfun for paving the way. My observations to anyone finding this thread in the future. If yo can get hold of a replacement screen this is a very doable task. I'd put it on a par with changing the battery in your iphone in terms of difficulty. As Jonny mentioned probably the trickiest bit is disconnecting the SD card readers from the facia plate. I was about to give it a bit of force then noticed the little plastic clips - pressing them in gentle whilst pulling and they all came apart no problem. Also note - the code numbers on my screen and the ones on the replacement were not identical although the screen physically were. All worked well however. Good luck sourcing a screen if this is your issue down the line.
  2. Well, from what I can see we have the same issue and model numbers so I have ordered one too. Fingers crossed I also have a positive outcome!
  3. Looks like we do have the same issue with the same model :-( I never found a solution. So, I too would be interested in a cheaper that main agent replacement.
  4. Great - thanks so much. It's worth a try. Yes - will be very annoying if I end up paying £1K for a new head unit on a 4yr and 3 month old vehicle. 😞
  5. Hi, I bought the yeti 2nd hand just before lockdown and all was fine. Last week (on the first couple of miles of a 630 miles journey - typical) the infotainment head unit started playing up. To start with lots of random touchscreen virtual buttons pressed with physical fingers nowhere near the unit (it kept ringing one person whose details were right in the middle of the screen); the physical buttons around the edge stopped responding and judging by the green outline it thought someone had their finger permanently on a part of the screen. It has now settled down so everything works apart from the far left hand 'column' of the touchscreen (1/4 of the screen in a vertical column on the far left hand side) which remains totally unresponsive. Which makes the whole thing virtually useless. I've rebooted it with engine off and on countless times. I've cleaned it carefully with window cleaners and let it evaporate I've left the car alone to think about what it's done We've had stern words Nothing has worked.....so I fear next stop is a trip to a Skoda garage which I can't see ending well (save a huge bill for a new head unit). Any other tips and trick to try first? I have no warranty left to fall back on. I was thinking about getting a can on compressed air and squirting it around under the bezel to see if there is anything lodged in ther but must admit I'm unsure of the tech used for the touch element - if I approach with my finger from the left it does not 'see' me coming - around the rest of the screen it responds before your finger touches the screen). Many thanks.
