ABS or no ABS, I'm not concerned with. As long as the car goes OK for the next 18 month's , I'll settle for that. Cheers

Hi, A. Abs doesn't happen when breaking hard or on ice B. No illuminated abs symbol on the dash when the Key is in the ignition. It's defo resolved, been on a drive and all ok now.

Hi I've just been lying on the drive and put my hand behind the nearside wheel. I felt a loose corroded bracket with a cable in it going to somewhere behind the wheel. Pulled the corroded clamp off, ran my fingers to the end of the cable and fumbled with what felt like a connector. Test drove and now all ok. Cable tied the wire harness in place. I thought the speedo sensor was elsewhere on an earlier Fabia with no abs. I guess not. Getting the tyre replaced next week and will check all connectors when the mechanic has the wheel off. Hi I see this has been covered before but without a definite answer. My fabia doesn't have abs and I can't find the location of the speed sensor. Please could someone help me identify its location and also if anyone is aware of the problem and fix? It was intermittent for a dew days but now my speedo doesn't work at all, the power steering symbol comes on permanently and the steering is heavier now when parking and the fuel gauge fluctuates like mad going around corners! ive had the switch in pieces, all seems to be correct. yep, the passenger window works fine from the drivers door switch. the drivers door motor has the circuit board connected to it inside a black case. i was going to run a temp wire connection to the motor from the pcb terminals and see if i can reverse the operation that way and bring it back to the correct method. unfortunately, i have run out of daylight tonight. ive since noticed that if the passenger window is fullup and the car locked is that when i unlock the car the passenger window goes down 2 inches? all very bizarre to be honest.

Hi My daughter has just acquired a 57 plate fabia mk 2. only issue is the windows. The driver window operates the opposite way to the switch. eg you press down and it goes up and vica versa. Passenger window works ok. Also, if i shut the drivers window up fully, overnight on its own accord it will lower about a third! i have a temp workaround for this issue, dont shut the windows tight, lower a millimetre and they stay put. Ive had all the switches, door panels off, checked wiring looms, checked wires in rubber gaiter hinge. I cant find anything out of place. Im aware there was a previuos post with the same issue but there wasnt a resolution mentioned. i have requested an update but the thread was 3 years ago. please help as its disappointing for my daughter. thanks in advance for any responses

Hi jjayj my daughter has just got her first car to learn in , skoda mk2, and it has exactly the same issue with the drivers window, up is down! also, it will go down a third over night on its own accord. ive found a temp workaround about the weird overnight issue. But im completly baffled to the reverse operation of the drivers window. pleasse tell me you resolved the issue and can you kindly let me know what the resolution was most grateful kev
