  1. Thanks folks! I took the Scala SE for a test drive today and it was lovely. I found the Lane Assist a wee bit of a surprise at first, but not a big deal after that. Now my only problem is that after a bit of research, both my current old Honda and the Scala have exactly the same boot space of 370 litres (According to Which Mag). One dealership is offering to go half in for fitted roof rails and roof box on a new SE (with metallic paint and 17" alloys) for £251 p/m but only if I buy before Friday (with Skoda picking up the first 3 months of payments). An online leasing company can get me a new SE L (with metallic paint) for £239 a month. But I'd need to get my own roof box fitted for holidays. Now I'm wondering if I should go for an nearly-new Octavia for the extra space.... BUT surely it would be cheaper to run the Scala? And it'll be a while before we're going on holiday, so I've got time to save up for the roof bars and box. My head is spinning. Now I remember why I kept my Honda for so long! 😄 It's the worry of making the wrong decision!
  2. Hi, just wondering if anyone has the Monte Carlo trim? Firstly, is it worth the extra money? Secondly, can you fit roof bars on it with the panoramic glass roof?
  3. Hi folks, I'm looking to buy a new or nearly new Scala. I've had my Honda Civic for 12 years and I'm ready for some gadgets! My budget is for a PCP deal or a lease, at a max of £250 p/m, but the cheaper the better. Is the SE L out of my price range? I've seen decent deals on CarWow and Leasing Options, but not sure about how trustworthy they are. The guys in dealerships are offering new cars with Skoda discounts and 3 months paid by the garage. I've not got any prices from them yet (going for a test drive tomorrow). Just a couple of final questions - I notice that the adverts mention Apple Car Play but I've got an android phone. Does it support Android Auto? Also a bit worried about this lane assist feature. Can it be disabled or set to off as a default?
  4. Hi folks, I've had my Honda Civic for 12 years and I'm well overdue a new car. I'm looking for a good reliable family car for myself, my wife, 2 kids and Labradoodle. I thought initially about the Karoc, but after a test drive I'm not sure I need an SUV. I'm mainly found haring up and down the motorway to work, but the car will be used for family trips as well. Now thinking about the Scala SE or SE L. I've pretty much decided on Skoda as the brand has a good reputation whilst being affordable. I'm on here to do some research before I buy. And I'm looking for some nice gadgets after 12 years in the same car!
