  1. That's great to know. I take it you just run it on 99RON? Interesting to know about the stock map too, so basically it's not worth throwing a tank of super-unleaded in it? Tom
  2. Flipping eck really? Revo website is showing £399 + VAT for mine, and then APR is the same. Only issue is with Revo being a bit further away for me
  3. Thats really handy to know. I know on the VW forums there were a few people getting the EA211 Polo remapped and seemed happy with it, although I dont know if there's any difference across the brands. And the rear had been a concern haha!!
  4. For some very weird reason it's not listen under Octavia's, they only list the 1.0 and 1.2, however it is listed under the VW's, I believe its under the Polo or Golf? Tom
  5. I ran it past my insurance the other day and it went up by a couple of pound a month. Perks of being over 30 rather than the fun days of being young & paying 2 grand a year for a Corsa!
  6. The warranty with APR does seem good, around faults with their maps causing issues etc. I'm assuming since it's a fairly common engine with a fairly common map that there's no issues with the map otherwise it would be all over the internet. The garage I'm looking at looks like its doing good work and comes highly rated online, may just give them a ring though. With them being local it does make it easier than getting to Manchester or further away if something goes wrong.
  7. I figure even a 20% increase would put me in the 160-170's which would be a big jump. I'd rather keep it to that point if its going to stop the engine going pop. Fair point on the maps too, hadn't thought of that. I'll get back in touch with the firm I was speaking to and double check its an APR map, I'm just wary of getting a map slapped on it and something goes wrong.
  8. Hi all, I've been looking around online as I fancy getting my 1.4 TSI remapped. It's the 148 bhp version so there's a couple of options that should take it up to 180-200bhp & 210-240ft/lb. The nearest tuner to me is an APR place, but there are Revo places slightly further out. I've been quoted an increase to 200hp by the APR dealer for £399 which sounds ideal. I'm wondering if anyone's had either a Revo or APR map done on this car before? Anything to watch out for etc? This will be my first time getting a car remapped so I'm in a bit of no-mans land as far as experience goes!! Thanks Tom
