  1. Hi Guys thanks for your interest I'm in Norfolk just outside of Norwich, the Fabia is on loan to a mate and it was him who had the problem at 5.30am so I had to get up at a time I had forgotten existed to get him to work. Yesterday afternoon he took it to his local garage who read the codes and cleared the list, they found no faults so he is now using it to see if the lights return or not, I feel he probably pressed the throttle on starting and both him and the car got in a bit of a state, if he pumped the pedal while trying to start could that have triggered the sensors in some way, I'll update later. I'm more into old motorcycles with no OBD on them and the Mk1 ear and eye become the diagnostic system, not been allowed to use them since lockdown but they are well clean now. Don.
  2. update to non starter, just tried to start normally with no luck so tried pedal to the floor method, it started immediately and is now starting as usual however the coil light is still flashing and engine light is on. Don.
  3. Hi all my 2004 Fabia TDI this morning refused to start engine cranks OK but coil light flashing, ideas please. Don
  4. Hi All, I've had Skoda cars for the last 40 years or so and was driving Skoda in the days that you waved at any other Skoda driver you met on the road, today your arm would fall off. I am now running an 2004 Fabia TDI and a 2017 Rapid Spaceback probably my last as I am now 81YO, nice to meet you all and good motoring. Don.
