Skoda Rapid 2017 1.4 TSI Hatchback
Thanks guys. I am on the principle “ if something works don’t touch it “. i was just interested to hear some opinions. By the way i am using Mercedes Oil the car runs very good with it. I was using castrol and helix of shell but with this one the car works fine. By the way this is what the alternator looked like when i removed it. Skoda are still investigating about it

Skoda Rapid 2017 1.4 TSI Hatchback
Greetings guys, i usualy mainly read not so much commenting. so i have this Skoda Rapid 1.4 TSI hatchback for few years. I always change with original ( basically MAN filters cause this is what is in the original boxes) but for a long time i was concern about one thing - FUEL FILTER. So i have two friends who are one in Germany and one in Bulgaria ( i am Bulgarian). Both of them are saying based on my VIN/chassis number that this car doesn’t need fuel filter maintenance or change cause it’s in the reservoir/ tank. Also in Skoda in Ruislep told me that you don’t change it. is this actually true? I always had mercs or Audis and always needed to change them. By the way when people ask me should they buy this car i always say NO! Give you a little history: front shocks on 28 k miles Clutch on 36 k miles Body control motion or what ever crap they made to replace the relays under the stearing wheel 46 k miles. Hand brake wire 13 k miles ( basically i bought it on 12 k miles). Alternator obviously was touched cause it had cracks on it and i recently changed it on 130 k miles. I am private hire so don’t be surprised about the miles we spin a lot for coins 😀 So yeah about the fuel filter it’s kinda weird . But i am asking if anyone ever changed it... how i said according to VW Audi and Skoda uk you don’t change it which is kinda weird for me... Cheers guys. A learned a lot from you about certain things how you change and fix. I fixed my alternator thanks to one gent from here. p.S. Everything except alternator was done under warranty. Alternator if you want i can upload photos to see the “ original “ one how it looks... which i am pretty sure it’s not

DSG Fault - Clutch Not Disengaging on Brake Pedal.
Greetings guys, i am new in here. I was google a problem similar. i am waiting a friend to come and connect the diagnostic and double check. So my issue is similar. The stupid start stop system indicated that i stoped but i stoped for a split second after that the car chocked and later when i actually stopped ( before that) i switch off the start/stop system. I stoped in D with my foot on the brake pedal suddenly the car started jumping and i switch to P. Switch off took out key switch on went slowly P->N->D WITH my foot on the brake pedal but the car start jumping again with the signal on the dashboard “ remove foot from brake” which for 2 yrs never saw this thing. Anyway i had to move somehow the car so start driving. Switch to semi-automatic went 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 / 7,6,5,4,3,2,1 neutral and the problem disappeared. Anyway if someone solved it or found similiar issues let me know. I know this post is from 2013 funny thing is my car is Rapid 1.4 TSi 2017. On 56 k miles i had to change the clutch in Skoda Ryslip . 50 k ... and after changing it they programmed it weirdly and now when i switch faster from D to R or opposite way it takes like 2-3 secs to actually go to the proper way... cheers a lot of things helped me from here so decided to reg. thanks guys!
