Hi all, hope everybody is doing well. I was wondering if anybody could advise or talk me out of buying used Octy Mk2 estate elegance, 1.4tsi CAXA engine with 125k miles on the clock. Price is £2.5k I spoke with the trader who sells it. Camchain, tensioner and pump as well as new flywheel has been installed about 100 miles ago. Should I be put off because of the high mileage? From what I’ve been reading about these engines they seem to be quite reliable if the chain/tensioner is checked and replaced if needed. Is there anything else I should be extra careful about? How about turbos at these engines? Car seems to have loads of paperwork and has been serviced regularly. I am goind to check it out this week. Any recommendation would be much appreciated. thanks Tom
