  1. Will certainly do an HPI check but wonder how to find out the service history and recall information?
  2. It's on 85k! Good to hear, I think the 1.4tsi is supposed to be sound and the DSG not one of the funny ones chances are any costs will be the same as any other used car.
  3. I've been idly looking at getting a facelift 1.4tsi DSG, found one that is very leggy for a just over three year old car - but I'm not going to be sticking huge mileages on it (6-8k a year at most) and it otherwise ticks all the boxes and looks good to me albeit on line as the trader is well across the country from me. I'm happy enough with a car that has barrelled up and down the motorway (for around 2000 miles a month!). I guess the tyres will probably need replacing and need to make sure the seat isn't knackered and I might need to replace the steering wheel but the rest of the car ought to be fine. But they don't mention any service history in the ad and, when the reg plate is run on Regit, it says there are 4 outstanding recalls. 😬 Is this a worry? I presume the original warranty will have run out back in May, 36 months after it was registered? Is there anyway I can find this out? Only got a registration number.
