  1. I don’t get any messages on my dash the only thing I can see on it is temp, mpg, average speed etc. so I don’t kno if I can turn mine off or not
  2. Probably a longshot but has anyone got an idea how to turn off the traction control on my fl vrs I have no button for it. I have a button for the ESP! any ideas anyone??
  3. In the past 2 months I have spent almost £3000 on my car, new clutch and dual mass flywheel, timing chain, rear dampers, rear trailing arms and new rear drop links. And now it’s thrown more faults in my face, the steering angle sensor has thrown its dummy out the car and decided it doesn’t want to play any more and it also want to corner like is got 4 wheel steering
  4. My car lives, I must be the luckiest person. The chain jumped 3 teeth. No damage just put on new chain and running sweet as a nut.
  5. My car is 2011. I can do most things on a car but when it involves timing and internals of engine I take it to someone who has more experience. I live in Cornwall so I don’t kno where the nearest VAG specialist is.
  6. I will not be starting it again, my local mechanic said they would look at it for me when they can fit me in as they are super busy as being the only garage in the area. ive got every thing crossed that it’s not worst out come as I’m only half way on paying off the hp
  7. I don’t know if anyone can answer this without looking in the engine. I went to start my car the other day, it struggled to start at first, then it fired up but was really rough so I turned it off as soon as I heard how rough it was and haven’t touched it since. Plugged an obd2 in to see if any error codes popped up. The code in the pending error codes was p0016. I’m guessing that the chain has either failed or a major slip has happened. what are your thoughts
  8. I have bought a new(second hand) rear bumper for my vrs, my bumper doesn’t have parking sensors on, but the bumper I just bought has!!!!! So I was wondering if the wiring loom is there for the sensors could I just plug and play or would I have to get them coded in??
