I just bought a 2012 skoda mkII Vrs, unbeknown when buying the car, the key fobs don't work to lock/unlock the car (previous owner failed to mention it which was nice of them). Read up on here that broken wires are an issue with the car and tried some of the pointers but still no luck so now looking to see if there's anywhere else to look or any tips/tricks to try before throwing money away on a trip to Skoda 💸💸💸 So far we have: •Change the batteries in both fobs and the red light works when pressing the buttons •Tried reprogramming by turning key in the ignition to on and pressing the lock button x3 trick, nothing happens •taking the rubber off from between the door and the A-pillar, found a broken wire and repaired the wire. How likely is there to be more broken wires behind the door cards and does it sound like its a trip to Skoda to get the keys programmed? Any help for a newbie would be much appreciated 😊
