I am shocked how bad the basic sound with swing radio is in Octavia 4! Today i had a opportunity to drive with kamiq with bolero radio and standard 4 speaker sound system just like octavia 4 and it was MUCH better. Technically both devices Octavias SWING radio and Kamiq BOLERO have 4X20W sound output so they should sound similarly. The audio source in both cases were the same so it is not an isssue. Is there any known fix for poor sound performance in octavia 4? It becoming so depressing that i am already planned how to set up aftermarket amplifier and wire it so it would work, but not quite ready for that much work. I know for a fact that octavia 4 have poor sound even with CANTON, it is not comparable with Kodiaq or Superb for example.

Its there for a reason. ESC Sport function is really good , i have tested myself and it allows to do some sick sideways fun in the snow. While ASR OFF dont allow for such things.

Most likely its the clock spring behind the steering wheel.

Most of them are under the steering wheel, atleast on EU models.

This usually happens when the OCU module fails. Most of the time the module needs replacing/coding and you are good to go again.

Yes, you will need GPS aerial if your unit is capable of navigation features. The fec and swap codes will be your enemy if the unit is not already patched for your car. Dealer could remove the CP for you ,but if they will do the online coding you will just gain bigger display and none of your NAVi features because of the fec and swap codes what you dont have activisation for.

It could be the clutches have worn out. There is also an possible update for your DSG gearbox. If the clutches are worn out too much and you reset adaptation values for them your gearbox could go into safe mode ,cuz the clutch tolerances are too big.

Scala and Kamiq was like a test bunny before launching Octavia MK4. Because a lot of technologys used in Octavia MK4 was same in scala/Kamiq for example OCU 3 and MIB 3. Octavia will still suffer from some minor problems like any new model ,but I would still go with Octavia because it's just so more nicer than Scala/Kamiq. The power/weight ratio will be a bit better on Scala/Kamiq ,but it's not that big of deal.
