RPP

I thought it might be an oil issue, but no drain or fill level so i need to know the capacity and somehow drop the lot and fill with correct amount. Skoda dealer can check level with their equipment, but thats going to be a rip off. Appreciate your help,

Can anyone help, 52plate 1.9 tdi auto box playing up. Great in all forward gears but select reverse and wait for it 4 or 5 seconds and bang , its in reverse. Apparently the oil is for life. What is life, the car is on 230,000 miles and running like a dream apart for the issue mentioned. No means of checking or filling gearbox, does anyone know how much oil the box takes, Thanks in anticipation.

From south wales have a varied backround, colliery fitter from school, adult apprenticeship on aircraft, fitting on hgvs and now coaches. Ive owned a 2002 octavia 1.9tdi for 8yrs now, best car ive ever had, 226000 on the clock and still take it over the water every year. Realy reliable and still looks great at 18 years old. Look forward to joining in discussions and hopefully sorting out the couple of little issues it has. Be kind to me as im useless with computers.
