Oh I thought I had a plastic sump with a plastic sump plug didn't realise that mine would probably be metal I automatically assumed that it was a VW you spec engine now getting onto the oil I don't even know what spec oral I've got in the damn thing one part guy says tells me it comes from the factory with 0 30 then the first oil change it's going to be 0 20

Not been used to these new plastic types of sump plugs because this is my first VW Group vehicle I'm used to the metal nut with a a rubber o-ring on my Vauxhall tell me with this plastic type of some plugs should you change one every time you do oil change or can it be ............used a second time I'm just curious I also find it very scary that my 1.5 TSI my petrol Octavia engine when it gets serviced uses 0 -20W oil just at a pure curiosity what would happen if you use 0/30 w oil I suppose I'm getting away from the fact I was talking about the sump plug but this oil thing fascinates me I suppose some bright spark out there there always has an answer thanks guys

Just a question in the fuse box on the Skoda mark 3 2019 I have what is referred to as non assigned fuses I believe we have three different areas in the fuse box what does that exactly mean are they fuses that you can tap into question 2 12 volt power socket fuse in the fuse box can that be tapped into two if I want to put in an extra light with an adder fuse

Yes mate but I think I've got down to the bottom of it now thanks for all the guys I rambled on a bit if my previous vehicle was analogue trying to get you to these multifunctional Screens and software updates and basically bul**** it but I've caught up now I understand the problem and we will be having the coding done hopefully soon but I think it is unnecessary they should put this in the multifunctional screen where you can turn it on yourself and off I for ****sake their lights an essential safety feature

First of all like to thank everyone for the input on my question about out the rear daylight running lights new to these forums but find them absolutely riveting and helpful you guys are probably having a laugh at some old🧓 git asking silly questions back to the subject obviously there is a hidden feature in there that's called Scandinavian DRL,S question is why are these features hidden why do you not get an option in the multifunctional display god I remember cars when you didn't have all the goddamn things just basic analogue cars ok I know I'm an old git and I had my car for 17 years god I miss my Vauxhall all ok I won't ramble anymore do you guys advised me to get one of these readers as I will likely not mess with the car as I've got it all set perfect just that these lights bothered me it seems very stupid that we have front daylight running lights and the rears are dead did and then to top it all yes there is a hidden feature but are for Scandinavian countries where I presumed the lights are low due to the weather haha p.s. obviously my rear cluster on my car car has ((((bulbs))) are not LED well the Scandinavian function still work I presume it will as the car was made in 2019

Ok mate thanks at least I'm getting somewhere this would be the simpler option do you think I need to download an app or I need somebody with a code reader probably not a major problem I'm sure somebody t.i. son nose will probably have a VW code reader so I've got to look for a thing called a Scandinavian option I'm sure we'll find something once again thanks

Ok mate you've got my interest this is what I might do then with this Scandinavian drl what just remind me what is a OD BELEVEN is it a app on a phone is it an actual gadget totally unfamiliar do you think it will work on my Mark 3 so we are pursuing that in somebody's countries these models have the permanent daylight running lights it's on on straight from the factory as required in countries where they don't have a lot of light ie we are Scandinavian countries am I getting this right PS it's absolute bul**** the front door on and areas and are on thanks mate just need you to clarify

Brilliant mate absolutely brilliant I shall investigate this that would save me a lot of hassle so basically when the front day light running lights are on you can also configure the rear cluster which has bulbs to do the same thing basically become rear daylight running lights using the existing bulbs so basically would have to plug in something somewhere in the car to get it to do this am I right in thinking that some kind of deleting tool or a laptop with a program on it that would really save me a lot of hassle and it would look a lot better

Guys have I made a mistake in thinking that when the front day light running on my SE model which is a 2019 and has bulbs in the rear cluster obviously the front come on with the ignition but is there a function that they would have the real bulbs come on at same time without the main beam coming on ie we front daylight running lights and the rear cluster also turning into a rear daylight running light all is this function only full light clusters that are Led and I'm models higher than mine just checking in case I've missed something

Just a quick question when daylight running lights are on my SE model is there a function that the rear ones stay on on when the front daylight running lights are on have I missed something and do the models that are further along have daylight running lights in the rear obviously I presume they would be the LED clusters mine take bulbs have I missed something

I wasn't going to I was just going to have it like a normal running light ignition goes on light turns on mission ignition goes off light turns off off-white I think I will have to put a switch on it

Thanks mate just wanted to confirm I was heading in the right direction that's brilliant I'm going to use an add a fuse and tap into the 12-volt power out in the fuse box under the dash ran it straight into the back and out of the car and the light should look good just cannot access the cigarette lighter out in the boot without damaging the liner what a shame but thank you anyway

Hi guys just want to run something by you so I do not have problems when I install i want to put in a 10 watt LED little fish eye light which is going to be red and go under the trim at the rear of the car in the bumper it's not going to mess my paintwork up what it basically will be the daylight running light it will not flash it will be on permanently with the ignition in red hardly notice but until you are really ((((( literally on my bumper ))))which annoys me but my basic problem is now I've installed them on the front on previous cars in white just want to check the fuses with you guys the light will be 10 watts the wire is 18 gauge should I use a 3 amp fuse or a 5 amp fuse I will be using a fuse tap basically going into the cigarette fuse and piggybacking p.s. the rear light will not look stupid before people stop complaining and moaning I'm going to get pulled over by the police it's just going to be a little red light to the tell bloody Idiots in cars and vans 2 to stop riding my bumper thanks guys

Praise the lord somebody finally got it right just out of curiosity how long has this code paint been acting because I was getting hints that it was going to be L1H7 and kept getting told that is the VW Audi paint code that is used for all Audis VW and skodas was this a previous code and then it changed to 8z8 would love to get to the bottom of that so nobody else has problems thanks bud

Ok but I think we're getting somewhere here is a code on the back of my brand new spanking alloy which is got a Nick in it by an idiot with a hedge trimmer 5E0601025BE .........8Z8 DENOM 17 '' I hope that helps it's all I needed to paint code local Skoda says they don't do touch up pens longest somebody verifies a cold I can just get it mixed up from reputable paint shop

Ok guys OCD kicking in I always like to know the date my vehicle was assembled at the plant not the logbook does the VIN number tell me the exact date of manufacture obviously the vehicle hasn't various stamps all its parts but it doesn't tell me me the day it was all assembled how do I find out I've never failed to find a date in all the vehicles have ever owned

Ok cut a long story short took the wheel off in the end found and a digit code 8Z8 I presume that's the code for the colour but some of the guys on the forearm telling me it also could be a VW Audi paint code L1H7 Skoda garages haven't a clue there is no such cold day tell me I phoned three of them up up only one was helpful by giving me this 8Z8 was told by 1 Garage to phone up Skoda UK which I will do tomorrow but just wanted your opinion on it all I just think it's a mystery nothing can be this hard but in the end it all the great laugh I shall I find something thanks for the input mate much appreciated

Like I said in previous uploads my local garage is **** but thank you for that I was just confused that there was no sticker but I will go to Skoda UK sorry this is my first VW Group vehicle I've been used to Vauxhall all my life if good while tapped into it all just finding my feet with the VW Group but thank you for the import plus I am very new to the forums which I do find helpful but I know I can be a bit annoying😏

Hi guys I've looked in the boot buy the spare yeah wheel where the sticker for all the paint codes and other various information should be there is no sticker or paper or metal clicked on insert to tell me any information it is missing the car was built November the first 2019 just wondered did they relocate those stickers to some other location just need my my paint code the car is brilliant silver metallic if anybody knows too code please just send it to me maybe they didn't put the sticker in the last few cars before they rushed amount or it could be I have to go to a local Skoda garage give them the registration to get the code please advise

Just want to know where I can go to a decent reputable company where I can get get touch up paint on the internet that you guys are confident is brilliant in their manufacture once they received paint code I'm not really confident in the Skoda manufactured paint sometimes the third party shops do a better job or has it got better in your opinions all advice would be helpful

Just a quick question not used to the LCD display play that tells me how many miles I've got left before I run out of fuel but also have a analogue clock in the centre of the driving display play the LCD control 5 miles but in an instant drops to zero but the analogue clock needle is still a little bit above where it should go to 0 which one do you guys think is the most accurate or if it goes to zero on the LCD screen how much do you think I've got left in the tank it's not a big issue but I was just curious once it's not reading 0 on the LCD screen I used to fill up
