  3. Hi brothers and sisters need your wisdom and guidance can you tell me where the paint code would be on on my car car for the wheels it's registered in 2020 and wheels are silver they all look the same all the models just wondered is there a paint code printed on the back of the wheel that's what I was told is that correct would be happy if somebody could confirm that for me me thanks brothers and sisters
  4. OK that is a star thanks for that I'll have to get the brochure out and see what they call the colour and then find the colour code somewhere but if all else fails I can always get it mixed up by a specialist paint company which I used to do for my old Vauxhalls thanks mate much appreciated
  5. Yes I was surprised when he said that to me me his exact words were you'll have to come back in a couple of months time when they start doing the paint touch up pens you surprised me when he said that surely when you manufacture a vehicle you would provide the paint at your local Skoda garage ok I understand that the wheels are slightly different silver going to have to ring up a couple of more Skoda garages in the area they will probably help me probably no what they're doing I was having trouble finding the colour code I'm not sure if it's the one under the bonnet or on the door pillar but thank you for your reply
  6. Thanks mate I'll have a look so that cold will tell me me what colour silver is for the wheels only but when you look at the bodywork the wheels and the body word look exact but thanks for that
  7. OK mate thank you for that that new to this forum business
  8. Sorry first question what does it mean by tags I seem to be a bit clueless there πŸ€” '"= ok now to my question where on the vehicle is my my colour or referred to as a paint code which I would need to get a touch up paint when I went into my local Skoda dealership the guy at the parts department told me they still don't do that that touch up paint for my silver yes I repeat silver paintwork I have to wait 8the vehicle was built in 2019 and sold to me in 2020 August 1st but surely there must be silver out there and surely the alloys on my Skoda drive 1.5 TSi hatchback are silver and the bodywork looks the same to me I will also need a touch up paint for the alloys surely the allies would be standard silver is there a colour code for that thank you guys just a bit baffled at the moment we're to look for it
  9. Hi guys have a quick question I want to to put osram nightbreakers h7s on my Mark 3 Skoda 1.5 because the factory ones don't provide in my opinion I'm not light has anybody used these my other Vauxhall used to have them were absolutely brilliant but they were 65 Watt obviously that's 10 watt over the maximum limit I will go for 55 watt with Oz rims just give us some feedbacks thank you
  10. Thanks bud that does help ok I will leave it alone until it's first Skoda service I suppose these modern filters are that good they will take out all the metal particles my only worry was being a brand new car they would be metal particles due to the running in period but I think you guys are all now saying don't touch it until it's first official Skoda service do not want to to mess with the warranty and blowing engine up thumbs up to everybody that gave me help😎
  11. Thank you for information something to think about I think I will leave the oil change until the first service I was only worried about running in the first 1000 Miles and having light bits and metal due to the running in period I bought I'd flash it all out but I think the consent is on the forum is don't touch it and tell it's first Skoda service I suppose these new oil filters would trap any debris in the engine in its first Thousand Miles and I suppose they were in this car would be best 0 -20β‚© thank you for the advice
  12. Thank for the response I couldn't tell when it damn thing came in the car feels just like my old non-turbo car but quicker after 16 years of driving an old Vauxhall Zafira from brand new this does make a change well happy with the car it is very light and responsive thank you for your response
  13. So 0/20 is safe Longsight follow the 5 0 recommendation could I also use 0/30 and what benefit in your opinion would this have obviously I will not be racing the car on a racetrack so the temperature shouldn't hit more than 150 Celsius my local Skoda garage stocks shell Helix that's what I was thinking of using and also is it worth doing a oil change once the car hits 1000 miles obviously the services next year but I was worried about metal contamination in the engine because it was brand new you not changed the filter but just changed the oil and putting zero 20 or zero 30 thank you for the help
  14. Thank you very much

  16. Does anybody know on my Mark 3 Skoda 2020 at what point and at what RPM does the turbo charger come in my previous car didn't have a turbocharger I'm just curious obviously it's just a little turbo so you wouldn't feel a massive amount of power at a certain powerband I would have thought it would come in somewhere around 1500rpm and also because the car is brand new you if I doing 80 on a motorway and come off at a service station should I leave it running for a little bit to let your oil circulate around the turbo or turn the damn thing off straight away would that starve the turbo of oil and damage the bearings it thanks guys
  17. Thank you for replying to me😎

  23. Hi guys just a question for a newbie to the Skoda Octavia MK3 1.5 TSI petrol my question goes the car is brand new and was built at the beginning of this year I took ownership in August should I do a oil change at 1000 miles when the car has officially been run in using the correct oil but do not tell the dealership I'm just worried about all that metal and it's running around the engine due to running in the vehicle for its first 1000 miles and then have the oil changed again officially by The Dealership on its first service next year in August I only do 3500 miles a year or am I just being stupid you guys would have more knowledge than me being my vehicle previously for the last thirty Years War Vauxhalls plus the dealership service guy confuses me one minute he's told me it takes 0w 20 then tells me it takes 5W 30 what does the vehicle officially come filled up from the factory thanks the booklet is very confusing where it comes to oil specification the vehicle is is a 20 plate but it is a mark 3 1.5 petrol
