Thanks for the reply , the local garage i use priced to supply part and labour all in with vat £85 , is this reasonable , ive watched how to replace on you tube but not confident of doing myself

Price from local garage to fit new blower resistor pack on my skoda rapid 2013 , its situated behind the glove box which needs removing , how much on average would this cost to replace and how long roughly. Any advice please

Okay Thank you , yes ive tried this but the alarm still did go , im going to go to the local skoda main dealer near where i live to ask them. Surely anyone still in the car when ive got out and locked it ,can still open the door somehow for emergency exit. Okay Thanks i will try that later when i pick my son up., but do you know will the alarm still go off if hes in the car and he locks door from inside , This is if he moves about or opens the door .

Thank you for your reply , Yes i have figured out earlier tonight as i went to the local skoda dealer in Mansfield and as they had almost closed as it was nearly 7 pm , a person who was locking up came to my help on showing me how to deactivate the alarm when getting out of the car. My concern is i lock the doors when i get out because the world is crazy and many bad things can happen so i prefer not to leave doors unlocked unless with a big grown up adult. I just need to know if there is a way to open from inside , Me and my brother tried few things out earlier and the closet we got was to , when i got out my drivers door , open door and press button , it then turns orange and close drivers door and within 30 seconds lock it by pressing lock button twice very quickly within 2 seconds apparently. We then waited approx 1 minute and i was stood outside my car , my brother was in the passenger seat. He managed to open the passenger door from inside but this then caused the alarm to go off. We tried this a few times but the car alarm went off every time he opened the door from the inside. So we managed to open it fron inside but need to sort alarm out as i had already deactivated it. I am going to go back to the skoda dealer tomorrow to see if they can give advice. In the meantime can anyone help further ?

Can anyone please help? I locked doors when I got out of the car to go into argos store , my partner and son were left in the car , while I was in argos the car alarm was going off so I had to go out and unlock the doors to stop the alarm. My partner could not open the door from the passenger side when I was in argos how can someone open the door from the inside after I have got out the car and locked the doors with the remote , because in a emergency they could not get out the car. Also how can they open the doors without the alarm going off ?

When ive locked my skoda rapid from the outside with remote keys and my partner and son were left inside while i went into argos store they needed to get out but could not and this was frightening for them as it could have been in a emergency. but i did not want to leave doors unlocked for their safety. please can anyone help me.
