  1. Just had the auto electrician look at the additional wires, he says there isn't any free spaces for wire and it should just need coding to tell the side ones to do it. Il let you know
  2. hmmm just off my phone camera so no idea.

  4. Interior boot button has no life at all. All the other buttons work. Boot still opens from the boot and key fob. The fuse is good by the looks of it. Any suggestions?
  5. It works perfectly, il post a video tomorrow. I only need to code in the key and get the auto dimming sorted by an auto electrician friend. I don't know if it's coincidence or I've caused it but the boot button by the gear selector is dead. Still works of the key and on the boot itself. Could it be a fuse? All the others work. 20211207_174553_1_1.mp4
  6. Star, I will let you know how it goes when I eventually get myself sorted.
  7. Big help, thanks. Would I need 2 of those ? one for each side ? Il hunt the breaker yards first and if I can't source everything there il outsource!
  8. Is this loom ready to buy do you think? I'm pretty terrible at electrics so may be requiring assistance with that part. Appreciate the advice btw.
  9. If let's say I wanted the dimming what extra wires would be needed. The Rear view mirror is already dimming.
  10. That is a very useful post! Good job to her. So I have a 66 plate Vrs but I will double check the control module.
  11. I don't have any of that currently. Just the parts for now. I can't take or leave the dimming. It's the folding I'd like mostly. I do have a new door switch if that's what you mean? Cheers for the quick response! I can take or leave *
  12. This may have been done before. So having the vrs, I've sorted most thing but the Wingmirrors which are manual folding, heated ones. So I've purchased electronic folding, heated, dimming etc. Also purchased a new switch for the door. What happens now regarding fitting and coding. Also I'm assuming the wire loom can just take the new mirror with no changes. Apologies if this has been done.
  13. So an update for you guys, skoda had it yesterday and have come back saying all the other octavias they have make that same noise. Apparently nothings wrong haha
  14. I will let you guys know once I get it checked. M
  15. I will hopfully get it looked at this week. The cambelt and waterpump were replaced by skoda themselves. However im not sure if they would have done the tensioner. Im not a fan of living with problems, i do drive the car hard somedays so like it to be right. It may just be me but I seem to be noticing it more or its getting worse.
  16. Thanks for the message, its a new noise as off Thursday.
  17. 20200911_185607_1.mp4 So I have a 66 vrs 2.0 4x4 dsg ocativa . I've recently had the cambelt changed around a month ago. The other night after starting my car from cold I was stood outside listening to the engine. I noticed a different sound to what I normally hear. Its very stable but different. Once the car is warm its not noticeable. So far no change at all to the drive. Video is short but can hear a different noise . Just curious as to what people think. Cheers M
