  1. Hello can anyone tell me where the sump plug is on my Karoq sport line 2.0 Ltr petrol? It's got a plastic sump of sorts. I can't see a drain plug for the engine oil. Regards Cliff.
  2. Hello Has anyone got any thoughts about this car. I would be grateful to read them. Regards Cliff.
  3. Hello No I understood what you meant. Technician at tyre centre suggested an issue called bladeing (like rubbing your finger over a fishes scales rough one way smooth the other). He couldn't confirm this problem with my tyres. My car is fitted with Michelin primacy 4 tyres. With between 5 and 6 mm on all four tyres. Tyre centre said they were quality tyres? Regards.
  4. Hello No, everything is good. I’ve also had a good look at suspension bushes etc. nothing looks worn or out of place. Regards
  5. Thanks for your thoughts. I'll go shopping for some tyres.
  6. Ok Thanks.
  7. Hello Thanks I’ll give it a try . Any ideas for a suitable low noise tyre. Won’t be used off road ? regards
  8. Hello Yes, cleaned with degreaser and blow dried. Regards
  9. Hello Yes I've read a lot of comments about tyres on this site I can't think of anybody near me whith wheels unless I go to a breakers or maybe ebay. I was wondering about using the space saving spare wheel I have. Fitting it initially to the ROS? Regards.
  10. Hello Oils looked good A small amount of sludge around Haldex filter. Also oil levels were good.
  11. Hello I posted a few comments several weeks ago about rear noise on my Yeti. Yes, noise is still there! Just to re-cap on what I have done so far. Fitted; Both rear wheel bearings. Both rear brake discs and pads. Changed oils in the diff and Haldex. Cleaned Haldex filter. Fitted flexible drive coupling between Haldex and prop shaft. Swapped tyres back to front on same side. "rotational" noise that can definitely be heard starts at 35-40 mph. When under power or coasting. It seems to come from the OSR area. Noise seems to reduce at greater speeds, or is this being masked by general vehicle noise? Yeti has michelin primacy 4 tyres all round with about 5mm tread with even wear. I have had tyres checked at my local tyre centre. they reported no issues. I suppose this leaves the diff or haldex unit for investigation. Looks like a trip to the Skoda garage to see what they say. Unless anyone out there can offer any suggestions. I'd be grateful for any thoughts regarding this problem you may have. Regards.
  12. Hello Camparing old diff oil with new oil. I would say it looked pretty good. Certainly looked better than the Haldex oil. Removing prop shaft on my back is not possible. Regards.
  13. Hello That has been my thought for some time now. Unfortunately not something I can change out working on my back. My Yeti has the one piece prop. Looking at the manual it seems to be a bit of a job? Regards.
  14. Thanks for your thoughts. I have since your message; Changed the Haldex oil and cleaned the strainer. The oil was the colour of tea / coffee it also had some black particles in it. The strainer also had quite a bit of gunk in and around it. The Haldex was low on oil also. I recovered about 600ml. I have also changed the differential oil Swaped tyres front to back and adjusted tyre pressures (2.2 Bar) Road Test. Still the same !!! I disconnected Haldex electrically. No Change. Noise starts about 25 mph and no difference when driven or free wheeling Noise is definately a rotary whirring noise. Can anyone add anything? Or it looks like a trip to the Skoda agent.
  15. Thanks for reply. I'm just waiting for delivery of some haldex oil. I'm going to change both diff and haldex oils, clean filter screen in pump and then as you suggest swap tyres. I'll post results.
