That is going to be the next thing I check. My plan is to run it from the rear wiper fuse as I believe that this is a temp live. Audio Tech Direct don't seem to be massively keen to assist, having made them aware of the issue with not being able to change the auto shutdown, it has been radio silence since.

My unit has an inbuilt canbus decoder. I guess it could be faulty. I have found the shutdown/sleep setting but it doesn't seem to work as I cannot change the value. It is frustrating as my car is 14 years old, you'd think that a company that sells radios made in a factory to their requirements would be able to have gotten it right by now.

Audio Tech Direct are going to speak to the factory. In the meantime I think I am going to get a harness and modify it so that when I turn the car off it powers off. There is supposed to be a setting somewhere for auto shut down after x minutes, but I haven't been able to locate that. If you manage to find your destructions then it would be most appreciated.

Hi, yes it probably would help really!!! https://audiotechdirect.com/pba-sk8126s-android-10-0-after-market-radio-for-skoda-octavia/ is the one I have bought. The black quadlock being the main large multipin plug? If so then yes. Re the shutting down, yes that is correct, I don't think it is shutting down as it is literally on and working within a few seconds of turning on the ignition. No boot up logo etc. This is the connector for my aerial.

Hi, I've recently bought a Mk2 2006 vRS TFSi and I have bought a new Android head unit for it. Little did I know that this wasn't a straight forward swap which would leave me pulling out what little hair I have left. The unit fits perfectly, but it doesn't seem to shut down when I take the key from the ignition. I cannot turn it on with the key removed, but when I switch the ignition on it appears to boot up very quickly, at the last place I left it. I've spent a while trying to work out what I can do, but truth me told most information that I can see on this seems to be vague. The unit that came with the car is a Stream unit. The unit I am replacing it with is an Android unit from Auto Tech Direct. This is the back of the Android head unit. Plug diagram: All I want is for the head unit to switch off when I turn the ignition off. Can anyone kindly offer any assistance please?
