  1. Yes there is. It's illustrated in the user manual. However I have been advised by the dealership that using the manual release may trigger a warning that can only be erased by them. Once again, I have been trapped, but this time the charger was plugged (for barely two hours !). We are having some rough weather right now (30cm of snow and -10°c) but I would expect such mechanism to be "weather proof". Be aware !
  2. Thanks for your feedback. I ended up spraying WD40 (by introducing the slim tube behind the door) and warming the compartiment with a hairdryer and I finally got it opened. I assume the locking mechanism was jammed (perhaps frozen).
  3. Hi, Did anyone encountered a stuck plug door ? I can't open mine, despite numerous attempts. Lock/unlocking has no effect and I cannot lever it. It's properly stuck closed.
  4. Best wishes to all of you for 2021 ! Here is my input on the fuel consumption once the battery is fully depleted : on a trip composed of half highway and half country road, i got an average of 7.8L/100 KM (36 MPG). I noticed that, despite the battery being displayed as depleted, there was still a minor hybridation available for low speed maneuvers and launching the car after a stop.
  5. Yes, this is my overall MPG, inclusive of the battery use. I share your point of view.
  6. Well, yes. But my overall average is composed of mostly < 50km (31mi) trips, with every time a full charge done. I wouldn't say it's representative of a holiday-like long journey. On a long journey, you cannot assume that the electric assistance will be available from beginning to end, because the battery will ultimately be depleted at some point. The low consumption achieved with the battery charged has to be counterbalanced with the higher one once the battery power is gone.
  7. For a holiday-like journey, let say mainly highway at an average of 110 km/h or 70 mph, my assumption would be that a range 800 km is easily achievable in hybrid mode. I would expect the battery to be depleted way before arriving to destination if no external of engine charge occurs. If an external charge is done at some point during the trip, that would be a game changer as the fuel consumption would stay low during the vast majority of the trip. Of course, that would depend on many factors (slope being the biggest one I think). From my observation, as long as the battery is not depleted, and with a reasonable driving style, the average consumption will unlikely go over 4l/100km at that speed. The fuel tank can hold 50 litres, that includes the reserve of around 5 litres, if I am not mistaken.
  8. First 1.500 km done with my Superb iV. Absolutely love the car. Overwall average consumption of 3.3l/100 km (71 mpg) and 13.9 kWh/100km (4.45 mi/kWh). Best I can get from electric mode only ranges from 38km to 42km (I think more can be achieved with higher outside temperatures). Therefore I mainly use EV mode for any trip less than 40km and hybrid mode for anything above. Considering that most of my trips are outside cities, I am pretty happy with that result.
  9. At the moment, with temperatures around 0°c, I manage to get around 35-38 km (21-23 miles), while the displayed range is of 38km. The update you received, was it done in the dealership or OTA ? (remotely) ?
  10. I should have added that I own a Superb 21, not an Octavia, but the infotainment is the same.
  11. Hi, Yes I have it working with my Pixel 5. It works pretty well, but I have encountered the following issue : - Degraded audio quality when streaming via Android Auto (wireless) --> was solved by disabling "audio via USB" in developer mode (trick found on Reddit) - When answering a call from the Android Auto interface on the car touch screen, the sound is not put on the car's speakers. --> workaround is to answer to call from the car's interface (in my case, I use the steering wheel to answer the call and it works). On your Pixel 5, did you check the settings in Android Auto app ? There is a specific function to enable the wireless connectivity for Android Auto. You can also try to connect it by using the "connect a car" function from the app (instead of trying to do it from the car). Happy to provide you with any assistance.
  12. Hi All ! So i received my Supeb L&K iV today, what a beautiful car. It is a EU / Benelux model, but I also miss the things highlighted before, which disappeared between last year and this year edition. As for the Canton soundsystem, I was expecting more of it. Not that it is bad, but it lacks that premium sound. I should add that despite a dedicated volume setting, the subwoofer is as good as non-existent to my hearing. I would be happy to answer any question you might have !
  13. Hello, I ordered my Superb L&K iV back in july (2021 run) and I had the opportunity to try a 2020 one. It's disappointing to learn that some (clever) features are gone missing ! I will be really ****ed at my dealership for not warning me about it. Surely I will let you know when I pick up mine in a few months. And thank you Richmix for finding the subwoofer ! Are you still happy with the sound quality overall ? I was really expecting premium sound.
  14. Hello, I am happy to find this Skoda-dedicated forum. I have ordered a Superb L&K iV back in july and it will be produced in the 2021 run. Delivery expected between 12/2020 and 01/2021. Cheers from Luxembourg !
