Hi all, I am planning on retro fitting cruise control on my 62 plate MK II Octavia. I have VCDS for the programing, however I'm struggling to find the part number of the stalk assembly I require. I'm aware that as it's a later model MKII it will be both salks as its one complete unit. Can anyone help with the Stalk part number? Also does anyone have any instructions for the programing on VCDS. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks All 😊

Hi all, I have a loud knocking noise coming for my Skoda Octavia 1.6 2012 145,000 miles and after having it looked at, I have been told that the gearbox requires replacement. I bought a used gearbox with 70,000 miles on it with 3 months warranty. However in two minds if I should fit it wilth a new clutch or get a reconditioned gearbox? What do you guys think? Only I drive around 10,000 miles a year. I have had a few quotes for reconditioned gearboxs and it about 800 plus 250 fitting. Thanks

I believe it is based on miles. But not sure. Yes MK3 66 plate. I bought the car for £10250. I have put 5,000 miles on the car. However driving to the garage for the issue to try and get fixed and the garage having the car. Is about 1,000 of that 5000. It's a 100 mile round trip the garage. Thank

My current car set up is. - 66 plate 1.6 TDI - Cruise Control - Auto Lights - Smartlink Active - Fwd dashcam hard wired in This is the main features. I haven't upgraded anything apart from putting in dashcam. So car is from manufacturer. Thanks

Can anyone advice the best upgrades to star with? On the cheaper side to start with. Inside or outside. I have bought a new dashcam to hardwire in and am looking at what to do next. Thanks

Hi all, I currently have a 2016 Octavia 1.6 TDI. I would like to start upgrading stuff on the car and adding extras. Recently I drove a new Seat which had colour leds around the dash and doors. Would really like to fit something similar on the Octavia. If you have any other upgrade suggestions, any advice would be welcome. Not looking to speed loads. Thanks

Hi all Thank you for the replys. My car has since been in to the garage another two times. As the issue is still present. Second time they found a faulty exhaust temp sensor and now on the third visit I have been told it's the secondary coolant pump. What does this do? Would the secondary coolant pump playing up cause issues with revs at idel causing them too spike? I love the car but this issue is doing my head in.

Hi all, thanks for the reply. The car is not producing any fault codes at all . I also drive for about 2 hours a day in it plus along the motor way with good fuel in the car. The latest I heard from the garage is that the ECU is going to be re flashed.

Hi all I bought a used Skoda Octavia 1.6 TDI with 40,000 miles back in August. I have had an issue with it ever since purchase. This issue is as follows: If I'm sitting at idle with foot down on clutch at a roundabout for example. If I'm sitting for around 10 seconds or longer the revs spike downwards for a brief second the return to normal and will repeat every 10 or so seconds. The car has gone back to the Skoda garage that I bought it from 3 times now and they have had it for the last week but can't find anything wrong. They garage have never seen the problem before and don't know what to do next. Has anyone else had the same issue and potentially shine some light on the situation? Many Thanks
