  2. Has anyone ever done this with OBDEleven? That feels like a system is both cheaper and that would provide quite a lot of value to a home-mechanic like me in the future (in comparison to VCDS).
  3. I expect my local garage will do it for cheap if I'm in there for something else already. I mean I can actually start and run the car with the emergency override in the meantime.
  4. Hello all, I'm just in the final process of replacing the keys for our 2002 Fabia (after they all eventually went missing). I know I'm being cheap here, but we're talking about a car that's worth next to nothing in £££'s, so I'm trying to find a good way not to write it off because the keys won't work. I have... > Fresh cut keys with virgin transponders, all working great except for the immobiliser obvs > VCDS-Lite (not registered, just the free version) > Knock-off 409.1 USB -> OBD2 cable, works great with VCDS-Lite > The immobiliser adaption PIN I can't adapt the keys because VCDS says I have to register it for $99 (totally fair, but no help to me). Can anyone advise me of a way to get these keys adapted for £20 or less? Call out charges are prohibitive (totally fair, but no help to me). I can't find anything clear or conclusive with the search.
