  1. @Smart Pro and @Breezy_Pete thanks very much to both of you. I believe I've managed to find the problem, with both of your help. I'll add more info for anyone else searching for a similar fix Once I replaced the 40a fuse (fuse 22 in the internal fuse box) and tested all the voltages of the wires - it turns out that the offending part was the resistor on the replacement Eurocarparts heater blower which I'd not long replaced. Changed for a new one and we are once again blowing air! - however In the process I've managed to light up the dash with warning lights... I think I left the battery disconnected for too long (possibly shouldn't have totally disconnected it at all? 🤔) and now a bunch of lights have come up on the dash. -traction control light -the steering wheel icon (?) Light - another I can't recall currently. any easy way to reset or clear those lights?
  2. Thanks @Breezy_Pete. Very helpful, based on that, I've further refined the issues. I mentioned above I assumed it could be a broken wiring issues due to the 40a (fuse 22) burning out (the fuse for some reason did not pop) From the same photo I'm now wondering what voltage the thick Red and white wire should be. When the car is on its current reading 3.15v. the small black and white wire's voltage goes up, when fan speed is set to higher, and down when it's turned lower - I assume that is normal for that wire. The cables From the resistor (that is connected to the fan) to the fan doesn't show any voltage reading at all. My current assumption is that the resistor on the fan has died - but that still wouldn't explain why the fuse melted previous, would it?
  3. Skoda Superb estate 2.0 mkii FL (2014). Blower motor fan (for climatronic car - associated with fuse 22) isn't working. I have had tested the voltage with a multimeter and the thick brown wire is reading nothing. I assume that the wire is broken somewhere and will either need replacing back to the fuse box or repairing if the damage is obvious. Can anyone tell me what this wire is for and what voltage it should be reading? And, what is the cable guage and amperage rating? FYI - this connector in the picture plugs in to the blower motor underneath passenger side glove box (RHD) heater blower climatronic Thanks for any info at all!
  4. I'm basically in the same position as you. My motor was seized, I used the WD-40 Special Silicone version which didnt work at first, but then i think permeated into in baring and spins ok now, but now a couple of months later, it makes screeching noises multiple time a drive. It definitely needs a new motor but also not sure whether to get a new one from ECP or if a £60 new unbranded one/£20 second hand OE motor off of ebay. I'm worried that a £20 fan from ebay will have the same fate shortly, they are all the same age original fans which are 1 - 2 years older than my original. As much as I'd like to say to you that it's the garages fault. If the fan seized, then it's totally unrelated. Which did you decided on in the end?
  5. ah ok, no worries. really big thanks for the info though. Also then reset vent servo button press worked a treat. Any idea which buttons to press to reset the xeon headlights?
  6. My fan motor has seized on me and i'm after the best place to buy a good quality or OE quality replacement. Any recommendations for shops in the UK? most of the genuine vw parts stores are EU based
  7. Absolutely huge thank you! Managed to take out the fan motor, and turns out the fan had seized. I greased it up but metal was still grinding on metal so new one it is. Any idea where to get a good price OEM?
  8. 2013 It's the MKII FL model 2013-2015
  9. Any idea where I'll find those? I've been googling but not really any luck...
  10. I've tried searching the forums, however can't find anything that mentions this issue. Last week, before the really bad snowy weather hit, i drove the my car (MKII SE FaceLift Superb Estate DSG 2.0 140) and the climate control wasn't working at all (my car has the dual zone aircon). After about 10 minutes of driving, it came on and starting working again. I know my car needs a new battery (Stop/Start not working due to this) so just assumed the battery needed to charge up a bit before it started to work again. However, yesterday when I started the car, it wasn't working again. So I sat in it for an hour revving it a bit, however the blower never started working, so couldn't use the car All the lights come on (on the corresponding blower and A/C Buttons) and graphics show on the multimedia display, but no air is being pushed through at all. Just wondering if anyone has had this issue and can shed some light on it for me? Most of the forum posts on here seem to mention that maybe a motor that needs replacing? - I'm hoping/don't think mine has that that issue but will keep an open mind, incase it isn't a battery issue. Thanks
  11. Ah that's a shame, I was hoping it was just setting changes on the cars infotainment/maxidot. Wondering if it's worth me buying a VCDS considering I'm planning on having the car for a while... Thank you both for answering, most appreciated.
  12. I dunno, what'sa Londin with you... Gotcha.
  13. Im wondering if there is a way to have the MPH displayed on the Maxidot on my 2013 Superb FL?
  14. @shyVRS245Where do you go to get your cars remapped? Did you remap your 2014 Superb FL? If so, was it worth it for MPG improvements?
