  2. Thanks, I love the blue too As for the number plates, normally I do, but Nick told me not to waste my time. His decision.
  3. According to my paint depth gauge, Its still looking good Simon With Nick looking after the car the way he Is there Is no drastic polishing needed.
  4. Hi all, Its been a while detailing, but at short notice helped Nick get his Octavia detailed for the GTI International show. He has asked for the pics to be posted. All he wanted doing was a correction on the bodywork, the wheels were going to come off the following day when the new calipers were going to get fitted, so he was going to do them then while they were off. The car was foamed, washed 2BM, dryed, clayed & washed down ready for M/C polishing. After taping up we had a look around the paint work & we only saw light defects, which I must say, Nick has done a fantastic job of looking after the bodywork of the car since we detailed It last September. We opted on using a white hex logic polishing pad with megs 205 polish. Rather than sitting down, Nick did a great job of saving us some time while we were M/C polishing by polishing the areas by hand that the M/C polisher couldn't reach, like under the spoiler. After that polishing process was finished the car was rinsed down & dryed then wiped down with IPA. Nick then had a dilema of which products to put on now, but decided on using the Blackfire we had. A coat of gloss enhancing polish followed by the all finish paint protection sealant. An enjoyable days work. A few pics,

  22. Hi all. The last two years I've been successful In organising the Briskoda club stand at Chatsworth for the Rally Show. Since my commitments have changed, I won't be able to organise the stand In 2011. I've had an email from the organisers of the Rally Show. The format for the Rally Show has changed & will be staged at 2 different locations at different times of the year. The first will be held at Cornbury Park, Oxford on 14th/15th May & second to be held at Chatsworth on the 8th/9th October. If anyone wishes to take over the reigns of organising a Briskoda club stand feel free to do so, Its a great event & easy to organise I'll be happy to forward any emails/contacts on Oz. The recent email that I've recieved reads; Dear Car Club... We are writing to inform you and your club about the big news for the Rally Show in 2011, we are running two shows the first of which is at a new venue, Cornbury Park. Following 4 years at Chatsworth we are excited to be making a step to a new location, we think you will be as excited when you see how wonderful it is. The Cornbury event will take place on the 14th and 15th May. Cornbury is a fabulous estate, located close to the town of Charlbury, 12 miles west of Oxford. Like Chatsworth it was used as a stage in the RAC Rally in ’97, ’98, ’99. The site is good with excellent spectator viewing, mainly flat areas for parking and we are extremely pleased to offer the facility of camping for car clubs this year. In fact the camp site is adjacent to the car club area, so we will be able to place you within sight of your cars. To learn more about the Cornbury show, please have a look at our website, www.therallyshow.org. Please note, ticket prices are reduced until the 31st December. For an application form please click here. To view our terms and conditions please click here. If you would like to express an interest in displaying with your club, or have any questions, please contact Andrew Neill ([email protected]). We hope we will see you at the show in May, we are working hard at making the 2011 event a really outstanding occasion. Yours in sport, Andrew Neill The Rally Show Ltd P.S. The Chatsworth event is scheduled for the 8th and 9th October, tickets will be available in March.
