Retrofit questions - Rear view camera, infotainment and sign assist
Found out the part number for the USB-only trim, but can't find the part number for the wiring. Can anybody help me with that? Are the GPS-antenna fitted in the roof-antenna or is it placed in the dashboard?

I don't need aux, so just USB is fine. (AUX will not be used, but it's ok if it's there) Haven't looked at wiring just yet, so don't know if anything is needed to be done.

Retrofit questions - Rear view camera, infotainment and sign assist
So, I finally bought a Amundsen MIB2, a 8" screen and a Canton MIB2 amp. Just need to get it all swapped soon. There is still one question; I have a 'Media Interface' underneath my climate control panel and can't figure out if i need some new trim to be able to mount a 5Q0035726E USB-socket. All the pictures of 5Q0035726E USB's i can find looks different from what i got now Does a 5Q0035726 work or is the 'E' suffix needed?

I’m struggling to find a amp for a reasonable price. Stumbled upon another part number; 3Q0035466A. Does this amp work with a 5Q0035874B and mounts to a Octavia? BTW, where is the amp located?

I knew, but were hoping it still would read city-signs etc. I've found a 5Q0035874B cheap, and I find a "C"-version also. Are they the same, but only newer versions of the "A"-version? Do you have the part number for the USB and amp? I am specially confused regarding the amp. Can find a lot of amps, but none listed for Octavia 5E Many screens have the right part number, but are listes as 'Superb' screens. Does the screen fit both models without changing the fascia/trimmings?

Should be a Bolero, and no, did not expect TSR to work perfect, but hopefully better than now. Been researching the differences between Amundsen and Columbus, and think the Amundsen will work just fine for my needs. Which Amundsen is the best? Are the any differences between the many versions? How many different MIB2 amps are available? When changing the MDI to USB, can the coding be done with VCDS? Checked today. The boot handle is the small one in my car. Read somewhere that some af the MY15 cars had the bigger one, so were hoping it had the newer/bigger one. Will consider cutting myself, as I need some painting done, sometime, to the luggage compartment door. Is VCP the only way to update firmware? Can TSR work with Amundsen? I think I will wait with the rear camera, but search for a Amundsen, MIB2 amp and USB socket. Should I go for the 6,5" or 8" screen? Do not think the 8" is nessecary, but if the prices are about the same, I will probably go for the 8" instead of the 6,5" Does anyone have part numbers for the different units?

Retrofit questions - Rear view camera, infotainment and sign assist
Hey New member to this forum. Before signing up, I did a lot of searching, but found it a little confusing, so hoping you can help me. I just bought a MY15 Octavia Kombi. It have a lot of the equipment I'm looking for, but still need some upgrades. I would like to upgrade my infotainment system to something capable of CarPlay. I have Bolero with part number 5E0035842A, Sound system with 8V0035223 and a 5,8" screen. I've tried to enable Traffic Sign Assist, but it simply doesn't work properly without the correct infotainment. I have the camera in the windshield, so it recognices signs, but do not register when I enter a city, and thereby not changing the speedlimit in the instrument cluster. It has a special socket underneath the screen for plugging adapter cables into, so i have a audio-in, or USB. Can/need this to be changed? I would prefer a USB socket, so I don't need the adapter cable. I'm also planning to ad a rear view camera, but need to find out if a OEM or aftermarket is best, and what part numbers i need. What's best - high- or low-line camera? I'm used to the dynamic lines from other cars (primarily Mercedes), and would prefer the high-line, but maybe the low-line works the best? Do I need to look for a Asmundsen or a Columbus? What part numbers for infotainment, screen and sound system? Apple CarPlay, DAB, Bluetooth telephony and rear view camera is what i need, so the infotainment needs to be up for that.
