Hi I have a 2015 rapid space back 1.6tdi sport bought in the better weather last year and once warranty run out in colder weather realised my heater system doesn’t work properly no fluctuation in temperature,tepid heat from vent at drivers side and cold at all others engine up to temperature no problem fitted new auxiliary cooling pump checked temp flap motor is working and even flushed water through matrix to check for blockage I’ve now been told the matrix is blocked due to the gel bag bursting in the G30 expansion tank and it’s most likely been replaced but matrix will be clogged up although water is still able to pass through the matrix it doesn’t get through the veins has anyone any information on how to replace the matrix it doesn’t seem to be accessible does the dash need removed ? I can’t find a procedure list or help videos online for this model at all

Diagnostic did read temp flap motor fault but it’s def operating as it should

Yeah car getting up to temp, had the temp flap motor out and it’s working as are the other flaps I can see wondernow if matrix could be blocked hence getting some heat but mostly at the one side

I haven’t been able to access the matrix to check there is very little room to check the temp of pipes going in and out

Just heading out shortly to reassemble and see if motor works when back in place not sure how to check the matrix tho? I’m a panel beater rather than a mechanic and my knowledge only stretches so far😆how will I check the matrix??

Spent some time stripping out to gain access to the motor managed to get the motor out and manually work the flap using the actuator plugged the motor in and when turning heat control the motor seems to be working as it should diagnostics highlighted this fault but all seems to be working so wondering where do I look to find the problem now???

Had a quick look earlier but couldn’t see it was hoping it was gonna be a simple changeover but looks like there may be a bit more to it

Hey thanks inspectorman have u come across this issue before? is it easy accessible and is it likely to be the actuator arm or the motor?

Had it on diagnosis and says it’s a temperature flap motor fault currently trying to find the location of this any ideas anyone??

Hi, I’m having problems with my 2015 rapid spaceback 1.6 tdi sport heating system can’t get much warmer than lukewarm coming through the system despite a 25 mile run to work only got the car in feb and with weather being relatively good up until now I’ve never noticed this before Seen on some posts that there’s a way of re calibrating the climatronic system but the methods used don’t seem to do anything on mine when heating windscreen on full pelt drivers side gets warmer than the passenger side can anyone over any help or advice ??

I bought a 2015 rapid spaceback 1.6 diesel sport in February and notice at weekend that the heater not working properly It has climatronic system and despite a long run heats not much more than lukewarm when I put on max windscreen heat the driver’s side is tepid warm yet passenger side not warm I have checked cabin filter and it was immaculate noticed in summer when air con on the blower was coming and going almost like it was choking winter approaching and would appreciate any suggestions or help on this
