Hope im not too late with this post and that some are still available....??? looking for 4 x wheel centres and 1 x steering wheel centre..... whats the deal, will someone pm me for payment details.....???

had an annoying 'squeak on the front end of mine as well. as the car was still under warranty, too it to the dealer and asked them to hav a look. when i went to collect they had told me it was the radiator rubbing against ???? i cant bloody remember, but they put a foam in between the rad and the problem...!!! bloody main dealers will go to any lengths to save money, wish they had replaced the rad bushes as well, however, problem solved............. no more squeaks.....!!!!

cheers guys, think im gonna stick with the F2000's tho' up front...!!! anyone recommend somewhere to get standard rear discs at a decent price....???? what about eurocarparts...??? are the ATE's any good....??? bit surprised they're £30 each tho'.....!!!!

Hi guys, not posted for a while, all has bn good apart from the bloody squeaking coming from the arb's......going in nxt wed, buggers had better fix it this time....!!!! Anyways, im looking at getting new discs and pads all round...... i know this has prob been done to death, but need advice if anyone has tried these.... im wanting Tarox F2000 discs up front, dont fancy the G88's as a mate had them on his CRX and what a bloody drone they made...... Anyone on here got them or had experience of them.......???? also i know ferodo pads would be preferred, but i canny afford them (tight scot...!!!), so would the corsa pads or corsa rally pads be a better match...??? i dont hammer the car, but when i go 'briskly' i like to be able to stop....!!! also i found this on 'fleabay'....!!! SKODA OCTAVIA 1.8 VRS MINTEX REAR BRAKE DISCS AND PADS on eBay, also, Skoda, Car Parts, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 01-Mar-08 20:00:00 GMT) has anyone bought these, as im not really wanting upgrades on the rears. would the pads be as hard as the standard skoda ones or slightly softer....??? (trying to eliminate the mooing...!!!) Cheers.

Not lost power yet, just bloody niggling, and i don't want a situation where i break down when the problem could have been avoided. Was there a recall for coilpacks going...??? And if so can anyone tell me what years were affected and when the ugrades became available...??

Hello all, Just a wee quickie to pick yer brains. I've noticed that after starting the old girl up, the idle speed is a wee bit 'lumpy'. Car went into local dealership, and the fault cleared after re-setting the idle. However it came back a couple of days later. Question is (coz skoda don't want to know...!) are the coil packs going...??? i've only had the car about a month now, and don't drive her hard, plus i'm a newbie to VAG cars after too many years in Scoobys so not too clued up yet on how they run. Any help would be much appreciated. While i'm on, i've noticed the rear Arb mounts starting to squeak, how hard do you need to push Skoda UK to replace them...??? Already mentioned to them when the car went in, and they could'nt hear anything. (Think mechanic was deaf...!) Cheers peeps...!

Well, finally took the plunge, and ended up buying myself the octavia i went to look at. It's a MK1 Vrs, in Black Magic, absolutely mint, and i'm as giddy as a schoolgirl with my new purchase...!!!:orb_runni I thought that after owning an Impreza turbo for a few years, that i might be a bit dissapointed, but everything on the Octavia is what i expected. Better build quality, nicer ride, and although i don't have the out and out acceleration of the Impreza, the 1.8 Turbo is not exactly slow...!!! So, a big hello to all my fellow Vrs owners and enthusiasts, no doubt once the warranty is up, i'll be picking your brains for modding tips...!!! Finally, just a wee question...??? Do Vrs owners give each other customary waves in passing??? I always used to wave at other Impreza owners, and its was nice to get a wee wave back, camaraderie and all that...!!!

Hello all, I'm looking at getting rid of my Impreza turbo for a 55 plate Octy Vrs in Black Magic. Bit of a change i know, but getting fed up with the costs of running the scooby, and looking to get a car a wee bit more solidly built. I guess i'm looking for any tips from you guys on possible problems to look out for. Going down to Carlisle to look at a car on monday. Any help would be greatly appreciated...!!! Cheers in advance,
