1.4 petrol. 230000. I don't have a problem going between gears, no squeaking or noise.... But yeah I thought it might be the clutch but also hoped it was not the clutch.

Hey Everyone. I have a MK1 Skoda Fabia. Recently it has started playing up. When I hit the accelerator the revs will shoot up to 4000 but there is no pickup at all, no pull, almost like I am in neutral. When I take my foot off the accelerator and pump it, it will catch eventually and gradually pick up speed again. I am thinking possible issues, throttle position sensor? Throttle body needs a clean? Or accelerator pedal position sensor? Any advice would be appreciated because I am driving a MK1 Skoda Fabia what says a lot about my financial position.
