Finding my way

  1. I tried video guidance from YT video Iway sent and it worked, in a way. I pressed A/C + recirculating air symbol and it started to blow the air thru desired air vent as set per selector, probably after reseting (lights blinking for 3 or so sevs). But then again after some playing with selector I had to do the same operation bcs it stayed blowing in one position. I am asking all these because sometimes it's really hot here in Zagreb and I have 2 kids in back seats that aren't "climated" properly becasue just a small amount of air is blowing at rear air vent (below central console) so I had to find a way to fix this. Thank you all, guys, for sharing probable solutions!
  2. Thanks. I will mention it to my mechanic. I don't have automatic A/C, it's manual. Do you think it will work this way, also?
  3. Sorry, "ally" cars? What do you mean by that? Yes, I am taking the car to the service on monday so I will see where is the problem. Hope not too expensive.
  4. Greetings! I have Octavia Combi DSG MkIII (2015) and just a few months ago (bought it last year in November), when I started using AC for cooling, I noticed that, when I want to change the blow grill using grill selection button, the air is always blowing on same spots, meaning that I can't select desired grill to blow the air out. I hope you understand what I mean. Anyone had same issues and what might be possible problem and solution? Thank you! All the best to the group!
  5. Greetings eveyrone! I have a situation with passenger airbag signal light (on the dashboard) anf that is that it is on, after ignition, and stays on for ~1 minute and then it goes off. Car info doesn't show any errors regarding passanger airbag. I wonder if there is an option to turn this signal on/off so that it is accidentaly turned off or this might be some other thing? Thank you all!
  6. I don't know when it was changed since I just bought this used car. I have to check in maintenance calendar. Today I will buy Sonax klimacleaner and will do cleaning. After that I will see the results and, if needed, took a car to the mechanics to check A/C system and filters. Thank you ALL for replies! You really helped!
  7. Yes, I think so too. Well, I'll just need to desinfect it and hope it will do the trick.
  8. What do you mean by "set the bomb off"? You mean to, in some way, activate this spray inside the car, without spraying it over the A/C? And the A/C recirculates the air and purify itself? Please, give me some more precise explanation because this sounds quite simple and I would really like to do this. Thank you!
  9. Thank you for reply. I will use it then ON. Thank you!
  10. Thank you for clearing this to me. I am mechanical engineer and I know the concept of drying air with A/C on but didn't know this mechanical stuff about rings and pipes. Thank you once more. When the A/C is on then there is this "moist" smell coming from the discharge grilles of A/C and I know that this is the smell of evaporator and I wonder if there is a way to clean this part so to elimate this smell?
  11. Unfortunately this version doesn't have climate control. And I really don't prefer to have A/C turned on during autumn/winter period.
  12. Greetings everyone! Ok, so, maybe to somenone this topic would sound funny but to me it's very annoying. So, in the past one month I became a proud owner of Škoda Octavia Combi 2.0 TDi DSG MK3 2015 and I really love the car. Today is quite rainy weather and I had huge problems with foggy windows. I know that this phenomena depends on outside air R.H. and number of ppl in the car, but this is way to much. I just rode myslef and my 2 kids a couple of blocks from kindergarten to home and I had to have A/C constantly turned on just to "defog" the windows. When the A/C is turned off windwos become foggy in a minute. Just as "circulating air" button is turned on. Before this car I used to have Opel Zafira and never had such a problem. I don't know if there is a way to check if this function is malfunctioning (e.g. circulating air always on) or this is just normal "weakness" of Škoda. Thank everyone for understanding and replies! Stay safe and stay well! Greetings from Croatia!
  13. Greetings! I just bought Skoda Octavia Combi TDi 2.0 DSG and it has a Columus MIB 1 (I belive) infotainment system. Device part #: 5E0035020D Hardware: H43 Software: 0370 I looked it up and found out that there is an upgrade to Software version 0390, but I can't download it from nowhere. I wonder is there a reason to update to a newer version, and if yes, is there someone to send me a file? I apologize if this question was already asked, but I am new to Briskoda forum and still have to manage it. Thanks a lot for a reply! Greetings from Croatia!
  14. Yes, i thought so also. For me, it's a shame since most of my friends don't know my work number and the master sim on my phone is work number since I make a lot of work calls. Maybe they will change it, in the future. If not, it's ok this way also. Thanks for reply!
  15. Anyone got to the solution of the problem? I have MK3, Octavia Combi, my2015, Samsung S10e dual sim, and it shows only SIM1 carrier when is connected. Although I can receive calls to the SIM2. If there is any solution I would be very greatful for it. Thanks!
