Thanks for all replies - they are most definitely 272mm discs with Bosch calipers and the carriers defo have to come off - difficult access job that many people have regretted doing DIY on by a number of accounts here and elsewhere.

Don’t want to remove carrier if not necessary as tough job

Any ideas where I can get some rubber inserts to fit in genuine Skoda roof rack rails?
