  1. You have to love Hat Boy Harvey 😎
  2. Hi Steve, the door itself has suffered some damage. I want to replace the door along with the hinges. Setting the door will not be a problem as I have had some experience with this. I just wasn’t aware when I posted this question that the second bolt for the lower hinge is bolted from the inside. I haven’t looked for where this bolt is yet, can you offer any advice?
  3. Can anyone tell me how to remove this hinge please?
  4. It sounds like I might need to have the clocks looked over by a specialist 😕
  5. Morning all, I have an airbag light that won’t go out despite being plugged in by the RAC man. It is code 01317 any thoughts? The RAC guy thought it was some module in the clocks
.
  6. It does have ac. I will check it out, thanks.
  7. Driving on the motorway and the oil warning light starts shouting at me. I was only a half mile from some services and pulled in. Popped the bonnet, oil level fine, coolant fine etc. started back up and the warning had gone away. Has anyone else seen this happen and found out what caused it?
  8. Hi folks, wherever I set the heat control it is always hot. Any thoughts?
  9. I took your advice and purchased a used item from eBay. There was only one on there as my switch has two adjustment wheels as well as the front and back fog lights. It arrived today and now everything works as it should. Many thanks.
  10. Hi all, I suffered from a partly flat battery the other day. I put this down to the car not really being used for about three months in the cold weather. The battery was removed and charged successfully and after a little struggling first time she now starts on the button as previously. I now have a problem where the dip beams do not work although the high beams, front fogs and side lights all do. I have checked the obvious things, fuses and bulbs and they all seem fine. The car is an '03 1.4 auto.
  11. Thank you so much for this. When I get the opportunity to have a look I will post my results on this topic. 😎
  12. All this only started about two weeks back. I wondered if something was sticking inside the ignition barrel as it started when you turn the engine off and then take the key out. I squirted some electrical cleaner into the barrel, worked it around with the key and then did the same with some WD40 silicone spray. Nothing at first but over the course of a week away on the Isle of Wight it has stopped doing it. Fingers crossed that it was just something stickingđŸ€žđŸ»
  13. Thanks for the input folks, much appreciated. I will be removing the locks. This looks relatively simple to have a look at the adjustment button. Are there any videos/tutorials of the console being stripped down?
  14. Morning peeps, this question will sound a bit lame so please bear with me. My '03 MK1’s adjustment button on the instrument pod is faulty and doesn’t work for adjusting the clock etc. It seems to be stuck and won’t respond to any amount of cajoling. A replacement pod seems to be the rout to fix it. My question is this, is the mileage stored in the ecu or in the clocks themselves?
