  1. So would a leakdown test coming back good mean that the cams are fine? Sorry, my mechanical knowledge isn't particularly deep...
  2. Hi All, My beloved superb estate decided to bite the dust the other week and the garage have given me this list of work needing done on the engine (multi v belt snapped which wrapped around the cambelt according to them): 'It will need 8 new rockers, both camshafts (the belt laces had wrapped around causing damage), a timing belt kit and multi v belt. Not horrific by any means, it could be a lot worse. The estimate comes in around £2000 inc VAT using genuine parts. That would include what we’ve spent on it already.' Considering I spent 3.5k on the car originally, would doing the replacement work myself be a feasible suggestion? If so what ballpark of cost would that end up being? It's a right shame because I've had some great adventures in the car and I thought there'd still be a lot of life left!
  3. I gave it a scan with my OBD tool and the light was just due to a faulty sensor (p2452 - faulty dpf sensor 'a') would a VAG scan tool be likely to pick up fault with the injectors?
  4. Hello, I've been experiencing a problem with a 2010 Superb I just bought and can't quite find the exact same problem in other forum posts. 1. When accelerating aggressively the car shudders, especially when doing so at 60+ mph. However, when the revs get past about 2.5k - 3k the shudder goes away. 2. Emissions Control Light has been on I just drove the car 150ish miles and the behaviour hasn't changed (nor was it in limp mode) Any help is welcome, thank you
