  1. I want to replace the original Bolero head unit in my 2014 Yeti with something with DAB. GPS and Android music playing would be nice but not essential. DAB is my main priority. What's the recommended choice to replace it? Should I go with a higher spec used Skoda unit or something different? I'm guessing my aerial won't be any good for DAB, is a windscreen one the best option? Budget is £300
  2. Thanks for the replies everyone. I paid a deposit this morning and I'll be collecting the car Friday. I'll be back soon with more questions. First job will be to get a DAB radio fitted.
  3. If it's not been done but driving OK now, would it be worth buying and getting it done? It's not a main dealer selling the car.
  4. Thanks @Prezafab It was main dealer serviced up until 2018 then it was sold to an old geezer who used the local mechanic around the corner. It drives spot on. Just as slick as the auto Jags I used to drive but much, much slower!
  5. I had a look at a very nice 2014 1.2 TSi with 7 speed DSG gearbox and 40k miles. I've since read that these boxes may be problematic. Are they best avoided or generally OK?
  6. Hi I'm fitting a RCD310 DAB radio from a Passat and need to fit a DAB aerial which will connect to the unit. The photo attached shows the connector on the radio Could anyone recommend a suitable aerial?
  7. Thanks for the tip. I got hold of an RCD310 from a Passat for a very cheap price, it's nothing fancy but it'll do what I want. Will I need to fit an external bluetooth module or is that in the radio? I'll need to get a DAB aerial as well.
  8. Cheers. I'll see if I can pick one up.
  9. I've just paid three times that for plugs in my V8! Plugs are so easy to change in the Roomster it's a 15 minute job including making a coffee. Id never pay any to change them. I would probably do all the maintenance myself, it's such a simple car.
  10. Hi. Id like to upgrade the stereo in my Roomster from the standard Skoda swing CD/FM radio to one with DAB, possibly from a higher spec Skoda. Is there any which will fit straight in and work perfectly and match the dash without any odd gaps?
