  1. Hi all, hope your well. Recently purchased this fabia vrs. Changed all discs and pads and fluid. Blead with pressure bleeder but still got spongy pedal. I believe I need to bleed abs. My vcds doesn't give me basic setting option to do this unlike on my audi a3 8p. What other scanners or apps can perform this task? Appreciate any help guys.
  2. Well she's no slouch the old girl, not sure if it's been mapped, I guess I'd need to book it in at a tuning firm to confirm this, shouldn't imagined thatll be cheap. I have witnessed a completed regen and afterwards was fine for a while just seems to get into a fiddle a little to often for my liking. I have seen the actual mass increase slightly but soon clears back to 0. What's best way to tell if remap has been done, can vcds see this? Appreciate everyone's input
  3. Tbf I can swallow 30 quid every few months on oil and filter just want to know why I won't complete a regen. This is clearly what's causing oil dilution. I would remove the dpf but that's illegal is it not? I'd also like to get to the bottom of it before we sell it on. Cheers
  4. Hi thanks for reply. As said previous, some short journeys during the week that realy can't be helped but always a good run at weekends. I use the ancel VD700 tool, rrafings are 30ml oil ash, 17.70 particle filter carbon mass (spec) 0.00 particle filter carbon mass (act). Is the Ash content to high at 30ml? I noticed the oil level rising a few months after buying the car, eventually killed a turbo! Since then I've been closely monitoring the oil level and can confirm it has risen again several times. Its obviously diesel diluting the oil. Sometimes I removed 2 litres and top up according, oil and filter changed every 3-4 months. I've been doing extended drives on motorway whilst scan tool connected, exhaust temps get to around 450, isn't this hot enough to regen. Tried holding in 5th to keep temps up. After a good hours run at motorway speeds, get home, still at high idle trying to regen. Scan tool shows no regen was completed as distance traveled since regen still increasing. All the best
  5. Yes it's trying to regen all the time for some reason. I have a scan tool which says its not blocked according to the readings. I just don't think the dpf is getting hot enough to finish the job. I'm going to try JLM dpf cleaner as a last resort, if that don't help il take it off to clean it.
  6. Tbf you wouldn't think there were any kind cylinder compression issues due to the way it starts and runs. I know these engines are pretty high compression in that they dont realy need glow plugs. Kinda hoping my frequent oil changes are dampening the bore wash. She's @ 156k aswel. Seems to be regenerating alot, no dpf warning light, wish there was an app compatible with these cega engines, my ancel diagnostic tool isnt great.
  7. Thanks for the reply mate. I think I'm going to pull them this weekend, to check if there any cracks on the injector bodies. I will replace the copper seals and rubber o rings as I have them but I can't see those being the culprit. Is it even possible for diesel to pass up the Injectors into the top end?
  8. Hi guy's. Has anyone had to replace there injectors seals on cr engines. Mines a cega. Been clutching at straws regarding oil dilution. I'm not convinced it's all dpf related. Could the Injector seals be passing and sending diesel UP into the head diluting the oil? If it was purely diesel leaking down the bores into the sump surely my engine would be toast and crank case pressure through the roof. I'm about to drive this car into a quarry as its driving me insane!!! Any help will be greatly appreciated. I've submitted a couple other dpf/oil dilution topic but not much interest unfortunately. All the best.
  9. Mate did you not notice the smell of diesel in your oil at all? I have this issue on my vrs it's a joke!!! I have dpf still in place. Wish I'd never bought the poxy thing. Although it's a lovely car to drive.
  10. Hi all, last time I post about this POS! We are still having rising oil level on our octy vrs cr. Having to change oil literally every couple months due to oil dilution. Car runs perfect and goes realy well, no rough running issues smoke or anything. A few short trips during the week but always gets a good hours blast on the motorway at weekends. Tried all the additives available, seems like it's regenerating constantly! I haven't removed any injectors yet as I feel there's no need due to how it runs. Never ever seen a dpf warning light either! Enough is enough now want a petrol again after nearly 2 years of this . If anyone can help with any advise just one last time before I part with it. All the best chap's.
  11. Hi its definitely a common rail engine. I plan on removing the injectors next to see if any seals are passing up into the rocker. I didn't think the cr's had a tandem pump?? Many thanks for the reply bud.
  12. Hi guy's hope all well pretty much ever since purchasing my mk2 vrs cr I've had oil dilution with fuel and rising levels due to this. I know this is meant to be due to either failed regens or regular short journeys. Yes my Mrs does do some short journeys during the week to work but she does get a proper blast at weekends to hopefully clear out the dpf. I've had zero warnings on dash reg the dpf or any poor performance issues indicating a blockage. Car drives fantastically. Has anyone else had similar issues with rising oil levels. We went on a 200 mile round trip and level rose about 1.5-2mm. Car has 152k miles but still sounds like new. Somehow the fuel is ending up in the sump assumingly passing the rings?? Any suggestions?? I'm changing oil every couple months!!
  13. OK thanks bud il try that in the morning, apparently the flashing brake light and abs lights could be a failed abs pump/module. Fml! Lol
