Armed with the info from the vwfs site, some paperwork I had in my email from time of purchase, and the helpful replies on here I called vwfs and they agreed the figure was wrong, and have adjusted it down. I didn't hang around to ask what the issue was, just happy to have got to the figure that I was expecting. Thanks everyone for your help.

I logged in to that vwfs website and what I noticed is that my previous Karoqs both show as Hire Purchase, whereas the current one shows as Personal Contract Purchase, would that be the reason for the difference in the amount I have to pay back?

No not as yet, been at work today, but tomorrow will log onto that vwfs website and see what I can find out. Will let you know, and thanks again.

Hi Kodiaqsportline, it was all done over the phone and then as you say all email and online documents and signatures etc. The dealer was quite a distance from me and having bought the previous two Karoq actually at the dealers and having no problems I felt safe purchasing 'blind' through Skoda too.

Hi, recently bought my third Karoq, I keep changing car and then coning back to the Karoq, the grass isn't greener! Anyway on each occasion I've bought from Skoda dealer and part ex my current car, which leaves a balance to be paid. I've always taken the finance option as doing so I get 2 years warranty, 2 years breakdown and the next 2 services all for free. After a few months payments I always call Skoda Finance and pay off the payment. The amount payable has always been however many months are outstanding, no problem. This time however Skoda are quoting a figure £4000 over the outstanding amount saying its the interest. When I queried this they say contact the dealer. Before I call the dealer is this something new Skoda are doing, charging interest for the advance payments even though you're paying off early? Apologies for long post and thanks in advance for any replies.

Very true, Kia wanted £3500 to exchange, and I only do 5000-6000 miles a year so it would have taken years to recoup that money. Plus the Karoq is a much nicer drive.

Here's my quartz grey 1.5 dsg in L spec. Had her since January this year, almost swapped out for a Kia Niro due to rising petrol costs and my rather heavy right foot, but stuck with the Karoq, prefer the higher driving position and all the kit of the L trim.

Hello all, Been a bit of a muppet, placed my driving license on top of the shiny slippery ashtray/coin holder opening compartment, first time I braked said license slipped down the little gap at the back. Any ideas how to open up that area to retrieve my license. Its a 68 reg auto Karoq. Image of gap hopefully attached. Many thanks.

Thanks for your replies, I'll get the battery checked and then if need be get a charger so I can keep it topped up to a decent level, although tbh after a week or so without it I'm beginning to wonder if I even need the start stop to be running.

I just put all the mp3s on the empty sd card, no folders at all, ill try creating folders for different genres of music and see if that helps, thanks.

Yes I think it could well have been sat around for some time, I bought it a week ago but the previous road tax had expired end of March. Will get the battery checked, thanks.

Hi all, I'm a newbie to the Karoq and really enjoying driving it so far. Its an 18 reg1.0 tdi dsg bought from a Skoda dealer. Before going back to them would like to ask about my issues on here, hoping someone has a solution I can sort out. First issue is the start stop showing as an error and not working. Drove 80 miles back from dealer last week and all ok, but since then doing town driving it doesn't work and shows as an error on the display. Second issue is I bought a new 32gb sd card and put 1500ish mp3 tracks on. Put the sd card in slot 2 and it only showed some of the artists/albums. Removed the card, reformatted it and put it back in the car. Same issue but not displaying the same artists as before. Tried it a third time and again decides to randomly show or not show various artists but not the same ones as before. Any help appreciated Thanks P
