  1. Looking at SE L Executive spec cars, 2016 onwards.. Was smart link enabled as standard equipment or optional?
  2. Thanks for the info. The history seems in order although it was 2000 miles over it's first and second services. I called the warranty company and they stated the warranty is valid as they aren't interested in the service history prior to the sale provided it's signed of by the garage as passing an inspection. Exactly how diligent the garage will be in this inspection is anyone's guess but provided the paperwork is in order it's ok.
  3. Can you even find out what the service schedule is on a car these days? I have downloaded the owners manual and it isn't in there
  4. Well I'm seeing 63K miles going for £13,800 and 10,000 miles is neither here nor there on a big diesel.
  5. £11K for a 2017 2.0 TDI SE L Executive with 73000 miles. Comes with a long list of specs which I guess are all standard on an SE L Exec. I haven't found another one for less than £14K so not sure what's going on with this one.
  6. I am just about to put a deposit on a 2017 2.0 TDI Skoda Superb Estate SE L Executive. My friend is desparately persuading me to get a BMW 320D Touring (estate) instead. These can be had for similar money (but maybe 15000 more miles) but its not clear exactly what spec you would be getting as I know BMWs vary alot due to the options. I don't really need the space of the Skoda but I do like that it appears to be quite luxurious and the space will come in handy - I often fill my current Mondeo hatchback up with all sorts of crap (had a piano in there the other day ) The BMW would have a bit more power and better dynamics. I'm actually surprised to find these cars are competing on price.. I would expect the BMW to be more expensive. So why are the used Superbs commanding a bit of a premium?
  7. I'm looking for a used Mk2 Octavia VRS. I have read on here that the TFSI engine was up to 2009 and anything recent was TSI. However, my search is turning up a lot of 2012 cars (facelift) being sold as TFSI. The TFSI doesn't appear to have the TSI timing chain issues... is it a belt rather than a chain? If the car I'm looking at does turn out to be a 2012 TFSI... is 120K too much even if its been well serviced?
