  1. asked over at ross-tech the label files for MIB units don't contain the adaptation channel information. apparently that is in the rod file. the other odd thing about the unit that was pointed out to me over there was the SW version is also strange @ 5e0 000 045b vendor isn't much help as they had someone remote in from europe and perform the hack is the PN and software version part of ifs-root? or stored in a completely different location? if a patched ifs root had the wrong information in it im guessing this could cause the ident issues it has.
  2. Hi, hoping someone with knowledge in the MIB2 hacking space know if the part number etc can be changed? i bought a MIB2.5 setup online that had been hacked ( CP removed and all Fec's activated). however the part number displayed in VCDS and in the units info on the screen shows it to be a 5e0 035 045b H42 ( a mib1 unit) however the unit is a MIB2 565 035 045b H54. does any one know what the correct firmware would be for a 565 035 045b H54 with a patchable ifs root? would the flash even correct the part number / version issue? any other advice on how to fix would be awesome. why im looking to do this is because the Skoda Octavia I bought recently in Australia has the virtual dash and im trying to code the unit to correctly work with the virtual dash however most of the adaptation channels are not being displayed in VCDS and im assuming this is the reason why.
