  1. In the midlands as well, but car has had a lot of owners so prob been all over the place
  2. My MK1 VRS is not very rust resistant, just had to have 2 new sills put in
  3. Hey Everyone! Hoping some of you might be able to help! When I got my Fabia someone had already installed Polo GTI Interior, they did not fit the back ones in properly. - The top of the rear seats are locked in but have no release mechanism so no idea how they come out, looks like it's been bodged. - The lower part of the seats does not seem to have the piece you need to lock it into place (no idea what it's called and don't know if you can get it as a spare?) When leaning back in the rear seats they just pop out at the bottom and it's pretty much unsable at the moment, the lower portion of the seat bases is not attached with anything either haha. I can probably get some pics if it will help! Any help would be great, it's one of the last things I need to do to sort interior! Brad
  4. Has anyone fitted the rear seats successfully in a Fabia VRS? I have got them in but they don't latch anywhere at the bottom so when you lean back on the seats in the rear they just move back with you
  5. Hey guys! finally got another Skoda, Fabia VRS this time! it was super cheap (sub £1500) and has 12 months MOT! had tons of modifications over its lifetime including: 2.5 inch full boost hose kit Dark side intercooler Egr delete Miltek full exhaust with oval tip Decat pipes heat wrapped Braided fuel lines Polo gti seats Mk1 Audi Tt 312mm discs and calipers Brembo pads Braided brake lines Skilla 6 paddle clutch Single mass flywheel Pioneer stereo we Stanceplus coil overs Polybush rear dog one, wishbone New bottom arms/track rod/ front wheel bearings, sump, fresh service, new sills and undersealed Aem air filter Boost gauge inside pod vent Remapped to 180 bhp Engine is on 130k! bodywork is really not great but I don’t mind! has a few issues like boot lock not working, to be honest on a whole all door locks seem to not work or are intermittent which is a concern, anyone know what I can do? I guess just replace the locks?
  6. The light did stay on for a good few weeks but cleared again today! havent went into limp mode at all yet, I think the DPF is still working lol :D
  7. Hi All, 3 days in a row and the DPF light has not come on at all? :D Does this mean its working correctly now...
  8. Welcome! I have a Blue one love it!
  9. Hey Guys Does anybody know what sensor I would need to replace on the car to rule it out? Is there a DPF Sensor or will it just be the Exhaust Pressure Sensor? Many thanks, Brad
  10. Thanks for the message mate I believe it already has the BKD mod done But I will probably check EGR or if it comes to it drop the dpf out and see what condition it's in, could it be one of the sensors playing up?
  11. Hey bud! Gets up to temp perfectly, stays bang on 90, for instance today Went shopping up the road 2-3 mile, came on which is fine, turned off the car, come back to it afterwards ignition on, it came on but when I got home and turned the ignition off then again it stayed off and has done since 😂 it's such a strange issue Yeah I could look at the EGR definitely, I've just serviced it too with fresh oil and all new filters, I know it has a manifold from a BKD I believe so it no longer has the plastic swirl flaps which I think is a common mod on these engines It's just such a strange issue!
  12. Hey Guys Picked up my Octavia vRS 2.0TDI PD170 2007 the other week, Love it! apart from the pesky Orange DPF light that comes on most days then magically goes away... Let me try to explain to see if anybody else has had this issue or will know whats going on. Say I drive 15-20 Miles, relatively short journey, DPF light comes on, Understandable. I take it on a nice bit of road or motorway to regen, the light stays on regardless... BUT when I get home turn the ignition off and back on it will be gone... And this will come on the next day, do the same thing, then when I get the car nice and warm and take it for a good motorway run it will stay on, ONLY turning off when I turn the ignition back on and off. Car has no issues, power is good, no smoke, exhaust feels hot when putting my hand next to it, but I am wondering is the DPF just gone and will go bad soon or could it be a sensor issue, scanned with VCDS, no fault codes regarding DPF issues. It's on 150k now and is a dreaded PD170 which I have seen are notorius for DPF issues as its an early model. Do I continue using as it is and just deal with it or will this cause me an issue. Owner before me said it came on once in her ownership, which was about 17k miles/2 years, so just a tad confused :( Any help would be great, have got access to VCDS if you guys want me to fetch any data or try anything! Many thanks! Brad
