  1. Mostly with the key fob yes, it did work ok for a while when i had a new battery fitted but has gone bad again.
  2. Hullo First sorry is this has been posted a thousand times before but i cant find the answer, 04 reg VRS fabia the passenger side door wont lock when i lock the others dam button stays up, the others lock and the alarm sets so if the passenger door is opened the alarm goes off, pain in the bum. I have to go round to the passenger side open the door press the button down which locks all the doors but doesnt set the alarm (handy if you are leaving a dog in the car by the way) then press the key fob to set the alarm, any ideas before i set it on fire, thanks all.
  3. Just checked my 04 vrs back footwells are soaking, wife has an estate fabia and thats even worse its had very bad condensation in the car since we bought it especially in the winter well now we know why!! Dam skoda cant believe they have pleeded ignorance on this as we have asked them many times whats the cause. Well since they ignore us I suggest we bombard them with demanding emails and forget your local garage lets go straight to the top and get the CEO from what i can see the last CEO was robert hazelwood ([email protected]) who I think has moved to VW and has been replaced by Alasdair Stewart ([email protected] ) ok it might be a pointless rant but it will make me feel better, I did the same with Argos when they screwed me on a faulty mobile and result was a ' Oh sorry sir, replace your phone now sir, also have a £50 voucher sir. Big companys Suck!!!! http://www.motortrader.com/latest-news/brand-director-skoda-uk/
  4. Ah Lovely thanks everyone think i will go for the one off the skoda parts site £46 seems good as i have seen the same one elsewhere for £75 which i was thinking of getting, I like the fact there are no legs that take off more room from the boot as my dog needs every spare inch he can get as hes big for a lab and getting bigger even though he gets hours of walks and is not overfed, Im sure he has some Great Dane blood in him. Greenstripe thanks very much for your kind offer the generosity of people on this site never fails to amaze me. Thanks Everyone....
  5. Greetings Got a 04 vrs Fabia Love it, also got a 18 month old black Labrador who somehow has taken over the whole rear of the car and covered it in mud, those light grey seats are now more Brown. Had enough vrs needs to be cleaned best freind can go in the boot looking for a Dog Guard if any one has one for sale something like>> http://www.briskoda...._1#entry2090347 Cheers Taking dog for walk!!!!
  6. P.S. Just incase does anyone know where i could order one of these online.
  7. Cheers All, Have lent an Haynes manual from a friend, called a few garages and seems theres different opinions on this one said do you mean a brake pedal switch or a brake light switch which stumped me, local skoda dealer said 'that part number you gave us doesn't exist' which stumped me, another one said £60 mate maybe more as we might have to re-programme it-which annoyed me as i know its a £10 part, Basically Ive given up its going into a garage tomorrow and they can keep it until its fixed-ill be in the pub. Thanks for the advise though if the garage doesnt fix it (worries me as last thing he said was-we dont get many skodas in here) then ill just take it to skoda and they can rip me off as well, think its a vw part thats failed as well!!!!!
  8. Firstly im very very very sorry if you've heard this a 1000 times before but my dam 04reg fabia vrs has a flashing glow plug light which thanks to the forums i have found out is most likely the brake pedal switch as the rear brake lights dont work 99% of the time.. I have tried looking over the forums and have found that i probably need this-http://www.fabia-vrs.com/technical-info/brake-pedal-switch-failures/. Which is very helpful and im waiting for a reply from the local skoda dealer to see if he can get me one, but as i am one of many people who hate their rip off labour prices for fitting a simple part thought id do it myself-BUT i cant find any guides for this-can anyone help please its not good with no brake lights in a VRS...... Ta
