  1. I think it was just the black piece. Been ages since I dealt with it sorry.
  2. I mean they could have done a switch-a-roo with the working one, and gave you an identical brick unit? If the quad lock fits, and your old unit works in your car still, you have a dead new unit I am afraid.
  3. I got mine new from audio tech direct (PBA A85PRO-28V). Reason is the connectors are proprietary, and you get warranty if it doesn't work. It's gonna be hard to test your unit without another car 😞 Just an fyi when I fitted mine it didn't need any adjustments to get sound if you play Bluetooth or something direct from the unit. It only had a separate connector for GPS (ATD FAK-21022). Also the radio only has FM unless you buy a DAB convertor PBA UCA-70354 and ATD FAK-21027 which I didn't get as you can use your phone to stream Spotify etc. Hope this helps.
  4. You can change the corner ones easily. They just pop out of the holder. Granted is super fiddly and helps if you put the car on a ramp. The middle ones you have to remove the bumper piece which has 5 bolts from memory. The issue I have is I did replace one which works for a while, but now the module has died, causing the long beep. The long beep just indicates a fault. If on VCDS you see any fault other than just one sensor, you probably have a wiring loom fault or short in the module. You could also try fuses too. Also you can go cheap on the sensors. The cheap eBay ones have shiny black plastic and look stock, think they used to be £15 each.
  5. I would say the Android Auto head unit is the biggest improvement. The one in the car is awesome, 10 years ago... Especially if you tour in this beast.
  6. Thanks but I don't have the strength as I broke my arm a while back. I'll have my friend try soon. Thanks so much for the info it makes sense.
  7. Seriously. It hasn't got a clip that will break and just a push fitting?
  8. You can see the cable go into the back. Guessing it is a full unit like a number plate light. God knows why as it won't get wet! Any other ideas from people please. If it's too hard my passenger won't be getting light...bigger it!
  9. Hi, Weird as I can't seem to figure out hot to get it out! Usually there's a spot to put a screwdriver in. Looked on top and can't release it either... Simple when you know how I am sure lol. Issue is it is intermittent so need to replace the bulb and reseat the connector. Thanks
  10. I agree and I was lucky that I got that exact brand you specified. Buying from another seller may mean you get an inferior copy.
  11. I would say that I bought it from a seller called ChromeMaster... they are not on the list anymore so I guess I got his last one.
  12. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B011HUQ4YM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I had motorcycle degreaser.. the included wipe is very small if you have a well waxed car.
  13. Installed the other day. Hopefully this will do the job and doesn't look too bad, maybe the darker colour would have worked too. A small paint chip from the previous owner on the far right, now to buy touch up paint, the work is never done!
  14. I found the chrome version on Amazon that comes to the UK... says its the same brand but we will see. I'll post a pic when I finally get it for your perusal. Thanks
