Stiff transmission and truble with resetting transmission linkage
Hi For some time, my Skoda Fabia MK2 have become stiffer and stiffer when changing gears – especially going into reverse. I found out that I might be able to fix it with a transmission linkage reset. But that didn’t fix my problem, even though it might have brought me closer to finding the problem. I followed the guide in the Haynes manual and this video when doing the reset: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cCFpbcFyVHI&ab_channel=AlanMcRae But I couldn’t compress the shifter (A) enough to lock it in place. But when I moved it, it squeaked a lot(!) Not like metal rubbing against metal but more like plastic against rubber. I don’t know if I need to get the transmission changed by a mechanic or if I can lubricate my way out of it? I watched a video saying it might be the pin (marked with the blue circle) that is rusted and stuck? But it didn’t feel like that. nb: I know that there are topics a bit like this one the forum, but i haven't been able to find one that matches my problem exactly. Best regards Mathias

Rear Suspension Bolt Torque
Hi Rum4mo I have purchased replacement bolts and nuts just to be sure they don't fail. I am going to replace the buffer on both sides as you propose. Thank you

Rear Suspension Bolt Torque
Hi, I am going to replace my rear suspension buffer (?) I am looking for the correct torque setting for the marked bolts and nuts. Some websites specify the following: A: 30 Nm + 90° B: 25 Nm C: 40 Nm + 90° Does that sound correct? What does the +90°? Is it just 30 Nm and a quarter turn? Best regards Mathias

It's a set with both tyres and rims. I have attached a picture from the fuel cap, the info on there is what made me wonder if they would fit. The rims are with 5 stud holes and ET 35 The rimes are both smaller and slimmer. But, as long as they are the same kind as the OEM I recon they will work just as good?

Well, they are already mounted on a set of wheels. Thank you for the answer.

Hi I have search for the answer in this forum and online. But I have not gotten a definitive answer, so I hope you can help me. I have just acquired a Skoda Fabia mk2 from 2011. It is equipped with 195/55 r15 tyres. In the deal I got a set of 165/70 r14 winter tyres. But now I do not know if they will fit? On https://www.wheel-size.com/size/skoda/fabia/2011/#trim-16tdi-eudm-89 it says the 14” is OEM as well as the 15” But in this post So, to sum it up, can I use the 14” wintertyres for my Fabia? Best regards Mathias
