  1. I've recently reregistered my very ancient but (for an octavia low mileage) skoda estate in France - to my horror I've discovered french MoT now requires cars to be pretty much in the state they were in when they left the showroom - Failed on non functioning rear electric windows and a manual replacement for drivers side electric wing mirror - have fixed these problems but when I set the joystick controller for the (allegedly) working replacement RH mirror only the LH mirror works. Browsing through posts I see that the RH positions can be used to control both mirrors - so now I'm wondering if they lied about the S/H replacement R/H mirror working. If the RH setting controls both mirrors could be they lied about the replacement - trouble is, the R/H mirror has never worked since I owned the car - never had cause to worry about it before so I don't know if it could be an issue with the joystick control switch - anyone have any thoughts?
  2. Hi - I'm Tim - living in Finistere in Brittany living with the joys of getting 18 year old car through an MoT system where "rear Electric windows" no longer working is an MoT fail. All part of the learning curve!
