  1. No I actually bought the car from Cazoo and had it delivered to my home. Checked over the car (clearly not thoroughly enough) and was aware of the fact the magnetic detachable boot light was missing which, to be fair to Cazoo, they acknowledged and gave me an Amazon voucher to cover. It just never even occurred to me to check the ski hatch handle at the time. With the boot being so large and deep, it really is a pain having to almost climb into the boot in order to open the ski hatch. If I'm not eligible to have the hatch replaced under warranty, I may need to just bite the bullet and pay out of my own pocket to have it replaced.
  2. I recently bought a second hand 18 plate Superb and never even thought to look at the Ski Hatch when collecting the car. Lo and behold a few weeks later I went to open the ski hatch and realised the handle had been completely broken off (presumably by the previous owner). I've contacted Skoda customer car to see what my chances are in terms of having the ski hatch replaced under warranty, I've also provided them a link this specific thread as evidence that this seems to be a fairly common issue with the car.
