  1. I had Lifeshine on my L&K as part of the deal and you get a pack of Autoglym products with it. Quite honestly I didn't notice any difference as to the car with Lifeshine and my normal polishing regime with Autoglym, which I had previously always used. So a bottle of Aotoglym from Amazon and you will have a perfectly shiny new car that you will be proud of, don't waste £500 on Lifeshine.
  2. Newbie Thanks for that, phew, not sure I want to know my trip distance now. I need a ten year old to show me, trouble is my ten year old is now 50 and in New Zealand.
  3. Billy Jim. Thanks for that, i agree that is how it works on an analogue cluster but i have the digital display and there is no button at A and no apparent alternative button.
  4. I have the digital display and whereas on my previous car the return to zero button is immediately below the display it does not exist on mine, I have looked in the manual but can not find any mention of how to set the trip to zero, it must be there but I can not find it, guidance would be appreciated.
  5. Jacky- My 2017 Superb was noisy over bumps and they couldn't get rid of the noise, but my new 2019 Superb is a different car with a lovely ride, dare I say superb.
  6. Bud yes, had considered Waze or Google but not technologically minded, do you have to connect to usb with a cable, and does it consume ones limited phone allowance?
  7. Watermead sounds like that is the problem, identical symptoms, as I only picked the car up new a few weeks ago you would have thought Skoda would have updated the software. Having said that I am not convinced they updated the navigation software as several speed limits are wrong. I know, I know I can update it but I bought a new car so that. I wouldn’t need to update the nav.
  8. thanks BriskodaJeff The mirror does not revert to normal position even at full speed I have to adjust it manually which is a pain when driving. It has been stored or I guess it wouldn't dip each time I select reverse. Just been reading through the manual but not a hint of this occurrence there. I will try switching dipping off in Infotainment and resetting it and see if that corrects it. I do leave mirror in L so that I can quickly fold mirrors if necessary quickly, the idea of meeting someone in narrow lane and having the mirror broken fills me with horror, its a bit more than my pocket money allowance.
  9. I have put my left hand mirror to dip when reversing but it doesn't return to normal position when driving forward? What setting have I set wrong?
  10. I am guessing here but presumably if you had the front tyres changed it was because they were worn so presumably the new tyres are a bigger diameter which would change the rolling speed and alert the sensor?
  11. Stella This is an emotive subject at the moment and as non scientists we do not really know whether it is better for the climate for your car to switch off whilst standing still. It would seem it is slightly advantageous particularly if the delay is lengthy. However you want to know is it a good feature to have? Well I had my last Superb for three years and the battery was the original and I was achieving 50+ mpg regularly. The starting of the engine continuously didn't affect the car or the battery at all. Was it nicer for the driver? Definitely yes they have got the system, including the auto hold down to a fine art now, it is non detectable in its operation and makes for stress free driving. I had someone in the other day who said she could do hill starts without any trouble, of course she could no one is doubting her or anyone else driving skills, it just makes them unnecessary. I could start a car at one time with the starting handle without too much trouble, but it is nice to have a starter motor. My fathers Lanchester had no heater and a Smiths windscreen motor that you had to assist on the inside as a passenger, and it is lovely now to have automatic heating and windscreen wipers that work efficiently without help. I had several Minis that stopped when it rained. There seems to be a built in objection by some folk to modern stress free aids in our latest cars that make for happy motoring, bring then on, I say.
  12. I have just taken delivery of a Moon White Superb after having a Candy White for three years and I prefer the Candy as it is a little warmer and the Moon White is a blue tint and slightly harder. However opinions are like noses, everyone has one. Footnote, the dealer was so proud of this car when it was new and shiny he covered it with a cloth in the showroom and uncovered it when I picked it up, he didn't want it to get soiled.
  13. perhaps its a microphone put in by a foreign spying agency, sorry seen too many spy films recently.
  14. I have just taken delivery of a new Superb with Virtual cockpit and it is excellent, I find the navigation map is sensibly in front of you instead of looking sideways and all the information you want is also there in front of your eyes including speed limit warnings. The standard speedo and rev counter is so dated as to be unacceptable.
