  1. Hi, I'm getting p044100 fault. I have a charcoal Canister ordered. Where is it located on a 2016 Octavia 1.4 tsi SE sport. Thanks for any help
  2. So I changed the battery adaptation in OBD, so hopefully that sorts it. I'll keep you posted.
  3. Do a scan with the OBD? I didn't re code after I changed the battery which had been suggested too. Thanks Dave
  4. When you say recode? Sorry completely new to skoda! I cleared the fault with the OBD, that's all.
  5. Hi, I've a Nov 2016 Octavia 1.4 tsi. Purchased in the Bristol UK and brought home to Dublin. I purchased the car in Feb 2020, just before the madness of Covid! All was good for a while, I changed the interior lights for LEDs and got a stop start error. A friend of mine has an OBD so he clear the fault and all was ok again. Happened again while cleaning the interior with the radio on, pointing to the battery. I tested the battery and it wasn't good. I replaced it with the new type with higher amps. All ok again. 2 days ok I was sitting in the car with the keys in the ignition turned once to have the radio on while sending a few texts. Started the car and off I went. Less than 10 mins later I get a warning stop start error. So this morning I tested the new battery. First I brought it on a 30 min spin. Put the battery tester on, "fully charged". I put the radio on and the lights, "half charge" within 15 seconds. Put the heater on and straight away, "low battery". I tested the alternator and it says charging on maximum. Anyone got any ideas on what's going on? Surely a battery should hold charge for more than a couple of minutes. Is the new battery a dud? Thanks for reading.
