  1. Company on ebay selling cheaps spares - which is fine - you get what you pay for. However, this company doesnt respond well to any warranty claims do best to avoid like the plague. The ebay reviews are possibly fake. Check out Trustpilot instead. https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/www.carsparesdirect.com or Yell. https://www.yell.com/biz/carspares-direct-london-8081423/ I have raised complaints with ebay and trading standards
  2. just to let folks know it was the black plug inside the boot lid that carries the main brown earth wire - thanks to this diagram here that was really helpful. I suspect now the wiper motor was leaking fluid and this may have been running down the tube and got the connector wet. Quick squirt of contact cleaner and a re-seat of the plu and all electrics related to the boot working again. Well At least was - but looks now like my wiper motor packed up as its streaming fluid out of it...ive got one on order and will let folks know of the outcome
  3. yeh as i said on previous post all the earths on LH side under carpet look good - There is a single earth coming down from the hatch - that is on the chassis on the c pillar (just behind the rear seats) with both pink and another plug/connector. Looking at wiring diagram the earth goes through a multiplug somewhere in the bootlid before it comes out of hatch down to earth on c pillar - I guess that might be point of failure. So im going to take the trim off bootlid tomorrow and see if anything obvious
  4. just to be clear I have checked the earth connections on L/H side under carpet - I have 12v to the number plate lights - but earth seems to be open circuit between the boot light bulb holder and the earth point in boot
  5. All, Looks like I have lost all things on the hatch lid, Wiper motor, rear screen heater, number plate lights, opening hatch only by remote - this sort of points to a common earth problem. Also stopped is the boot interior lights ( I have 12 v on both sides of the l/h bulb holder as i think expected - so this at least points to the switch in the lock gone?) Maybe the lock switch would stop the wiper motor from operating - but not stop the boot lights - maybe I have two issues... can anyone help?

im suspecting DPF sensor as I used a snap-on mobis scanner yesterday - Ive got the part but no way to do the adaptation. I have a tech question on this if anybody can answer... I assume the the EMS is continually taking readings from the DPF vac sensor to calculate how full the dpf is.. and eventualy does a regen when it thinks it needs to,, I get that. I assume the adaptation required to calibrate the new sensor to the old reading of how full the dpf is....I get that. But if the sensor is going faulty the the EMS might store the wrong reading anyway and when you adapt the new sensor - then the EMS still has wrong reading of how full the dpf is....
  7. Hi All, new to forum. I have problem on 2010 Octavia 1.6 tdi. Car goes into limp mode with flashing light and code seems to be 07462 - im using a carista dongle.
