Looks like the worst news, however it only appears to be reverse gear so I’ll have to avoid going backwards till I’ve saved up £500 for a new clutch 😃👍

It’s right at the bottom but always has been, I’m not experiencing any slipping clutch though

I have a MK1 04 Skoda Fabia 1.2 which is not fully engaging in reverse when the clutch is at full depression. Before I pay for a new clutch could this be anything else such as an airlock in the clutch or a faulty master/slave? also could bleeding the slave cylinder help? The gearbox has an external slave cylinder see picture below. Thanks in advance 👍

Sorted! While tracing wires back they started working. Fingers crossed it doesn’t go again. Thanks all 👍

Hi All Both my dipped beam headlights have gone out. Bulbs are good, side, full & fog are all good. I'm reading 12v to the fuses and fuses are good, but reading no power on the connector that plugs into the bulb. Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks so much Chris

I'm in a 2005 MK1 1.2 (3 cylinder) and I've got a dodgy coil pack, but the car's done 155K (I think they're the originals) Do I replace all 3 or just the 1? I didn't know if the others will be on there way out Cheers & all that

It's an engine code from a scan with VCDS-Lite, not sure whether its a AZQ or BME engine (3 cylinder, 1.2, 12V, 2004, Skoda Fabia Estate)

I must have owned 30 cars but I’ve never come across MPG quite like my 18 year old Skoda Fabia 1.2 on my way home from work last night I got 62.6 MPG, over 33 miles averaging 42 MPH Can’t quite believe it! I’m so happy 😀 Is this normal? What do your Skoda’s do? Chris

I've checked the pipe & its not split but I've just put a diagnostics cable on (thanks PipH) and it reads Cote P0170 Fuel Trim; Bank 1: Malfunction Any suggestions?

You mention the VCDS diagnostics does the 'VAG K+CAN Commander' do the same thing as I can get it on Ebay for £15

I'm literally the slowest car on the A14 as I'm on limited funds and I do 20,000 a year in a 16yr old car, I did manage 60mpg (honest) when the there was no petrol in the pumps and I was running on fumes but this has by far been the most economical and loveliest car I've owned,130,000 miles £550, a bargin!

I've always used E10 since september, its just that the MPG is inconsistant on similar journeys throughout the day & thanks for all your help by the way 😉

I didn't say but the MPG can go back to 54 at different times of the day and doesnt seem linked to engine or outside temp. It always runs and sounds a bit lumpy as it's a 3 cylinder 1.2 12v and I always use E10 although it does sometimes lose powermoving off from stopped or low speed.

My average MPG is normally 54 as I do a pretty consistant commute on a motorway but it is now dropping to 44 but for no particular reason. It happens on different journeys and at different times I've had the car (54 plate Fabia 1.2 engine) for about 18monts and it's just started happening. Any idea what it might be? MAF sensor, injectors? Thanks 👍

Just a quick one, when I set the internal temperature the blower is either cold (fully closed in the Blue) or hot (one click towards 18) How do I get it just blowing warm air? Am I doing something wrong or is it broken?

Hi I've just bought a Skoda Fabia 05 and I'm fitting a dash cam and would like to know the best path to feed the cables from the fuse box through the trim to the mirror and how to remove it without snapping the fixings. Also an aside, I know the engine is a 3 cylinder but it feels like there's allot of rumbling vibration coming from the engine, is this normal or does it need some adjustment? I occasionally stalls when I'm crawling or in reverse. ((2005 109k miles) Otherwise I'm loving the car! & happy new year and stay safe for 2021 Chris
