  1. Good afternoon, I have a 2016 Superb SE Business 150tdi that doesn't seem to like Winter.. We're only talking relatively gentle UK winters too - not Scandinavian ones! For the past 3 winters, on cold - and particularly on frosty - mornings, I start the car, and drive 1/2 mile, maybe a mile, down the road and the car drops into safety/limp mode, with the glow lamp flashing amber. Very occasionally, when I stop the car after this, I get a Start/Stop system error flagged up - but not always. A turn off and restart always clears the problem for that day - unless it is parked up for a long time in very cold conditions when it may repeat when driving home. It never happens in summer and only happens on colder winter mornings. It's somewhat annoying and occasionally happens when accelerating along a slip road joining a fast dual carriageway - so can be a little unnerving! There seems to be no "logic" - i.e. always when accelerating or whatever. It is seemingly random but is always very soon after setting off and clears with a restart for the rest of that day and possibly many more - until it's cold again! The local stealership (2 winters ago) and an independent VAG specialist (last winter) have both checked the car and said there were no faults logged and they can see no reason for the problem... Can anyone here help? Thanks.
